About
Tucked away in the beautiful Ft. Caroline area near Jacksonville, Hidden Hills Country Club stands on a historic battleground that witnessed the fierce struggles between France and Spain and continued into golf history with searing competition during the heyday of the Greater Jacksonville Open.
The 6,892-yard private golf course, built in 1966 on an ancient sand dune, was redesigned by Arnold Palmer in 1986. Palmer's creativity helped create a championship-caliber golf course unmatched in natural beauty that makes excellent use of rare hilly terrain to create a unique Florida golf challenge. The fairways are lined with majestic pines and stately oaks, and the unpredictable greens have helped Hidden Hills gain the reputation of being one of the most challenging courses in North Florida.
Sharp doglegs, strategic placement of water hazards and putting surfaces that are mostly elevated serve up a mighty test for the low handicapper. Approaches are narrow and many of Hidden Hills Country Club's greens are well bunkered.

Would pass on playing here in the future
Staff was courteous and friendly. The course layout was ok. The greens were less than desirable. Overpriced in my opinion.

Buyers Beware!!
Golfers please do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. The layout is the only favorable aspect of this place. I paid $73 with a military discount to play a course with no grass in the fairways or tee boxes. The greens were hard as a rock with pits everywhere in them. Our entire group of 12 golfers said never again. I feel most sorry for any members they have left. This course is a zero, but I had to give one star.

Fairways
The fairways are in need of grass, however had a ball with the layout of the course. Challenging and fun.

Poor Greens Continue
This course was once a hidden gem, but the greens for the past 2 years are a mess and have seen very little improvement. Fairways and tee boxes were not much better...I will not be playing here again until they fix the mess and lower their rates, not a good value.

Poor fairways and greens

The fairways were dry and sparse. The greens were also dry and spotty. I like the course and would recommend it if it was allowed to grow more lush to make more consistent play.
