Hidden Hills Golf Course

We have been a part of the Hidden Hills family over 10 years. Now, our 7 year old plays golf and loves it. The greens look great! Excellent course!!!

Played my first round recently and was pleasantly surprised at the size of this course. Great bargain overall. The greens are being refreshed so not in great shape but the rest of the course was great. A fun to play course even if you are an average golfer like me. Love the elevations.

Paired with other twosome who are weekly players at the course. Although the greens have grass tracks foe almost every hole, we enjoyed it very much!

Greens and fairways were in terrible shape. Couldn’t even putt a ball if you wanted to. First time here and probably will never end up coming back.

Drove an hour to play this course at $75 pp. Greens were in abysmal shape. Completely grooved. Sandy fairways and because of golfers in front of us we werent able to finish our round in under 5 hours.

Legitimately will not ever be back to this course unless that price is cut in half or more.

Staff was friendly. Nothing bad to say about the staff whatsoever. The clubhouse was nice too and we had a nice lunch/linner after our 5 hour round at 3 pm.

Good challenging golf course with excellent staff!!! The course conditions are fairly rough right not. The greens never recovered from the Berta cutting and seeding. Rough. The cooler weather had a negative impact on the fairways and tee boxes.

I’m sure the course conditions will improve soon.

It was initially raining and I called the staff. It took 20 minutes to get a hold of the golf shop as the phone just kept ringing. When I finally was able to speak to someone I inquired about a rain check. The individual told me that I would need to drive down at my tee time to get the rain check. I asked if I was able to pick it up at some point that week as I live 40 minutes away and was told no. His exact comment was you should have known when you used the golf now app terms and conditions that if you don’t show up by tee time then we just charge you. Made me realize it is best to just call ahead instead of using the app if that is how pro shops treat you. I showed up at the tee time and the staff member was no where to be found. We decided to golf in the crappy condition. Greens were bad as well as there were rows of grass that looked like a pine tree forest and no manicured.

Played this course numerous times throughout the last few years. Used to be a great go to course when you want to get a round in. It’s slowly deteriorating over the years and this last time? Won’t be going back anytime soon. I know this past winter did a number on many courses in the Jacksonville area, but the greens are like webbed concrete mats. The fairways are bonehard and have no growth. I lost two balls that landed just on the front of the green and rolled all the way off the back and over the burn into the water. Ball should have stopped at some point but there was nothing to hold it. Tee times are too close together. Backs up at 6, 7 and 8. And then again from 14 on. Can take you 1.5 to play last 5 holes. The lay out is good, but the maintenance, condition and slow pay don’t warrant the green fees they are charging.

Course was in terrible shape. Greens were painted so looks are deceiving from a distance. Once on the greens you quickly realize that you wasted your money. Fairways are missing grass coverage and the weather is no excuse north Florida has had an extremely mild winter.

This course way past its freshness date. Typical 90’s golf community that has lost it’s interest and mojo.

The course condition was horrendous. There was absolutely no grass on the fairways. The greens, as well, were pretty much bald with several crosscuts of newly seeded grass zigzagging across. At first I thought that maybe it was a result of frost in the area or just winter dormancy. But the next day we played at a nearby course that was in beautiful condition with grassy fairways and nice greens. This was a total waste of money and our time. It was horrible.

We enjoyed the course, but they should turn the water on and place some grass on at least a third of the fairways.

Good or bad player, you will not have fun dodging trees and hidden lakes. They would benefit having a lumber Jack come out. Really bad design.

Hidden Hills is a great layout, but the fairways are extremely dry and the result is burned-out fairways and hard turf under the dry grass. The greens were recently fertilized, so they are inconsistent.
