About
Tucked away in the beautiful Ft. Caroline area near Jacksonville, Hidden Hills Country Club stands on a historic battleground that witnessed the fierce struggles between France and Spain and continued into golf history with searing competition during the heyday of the Greater Jacksonville Open.
The 6,892-yard private golf course, built in 1966 on an ancient sand dune, was redesigned by Arnold Palmer in 1986. Palmer's creativity helped create a championship-caliber golf course unmatched in natural beauty that makes excellent use of rare hilly terrain to create a unique Florida golf challenge. The fairways are lined with majestic pines and stately oaks, and the unpredictable greens have helped Hidden Hills gain the reputation of being one of the most challenging courses in North Florida.
Sharp doglegs, strategic placement of water hazards and putting surfaces that are mostly elevated serve up a mighty test for the low handicapper. Approaches are narrow and many of Hidden Hills Country Club's greens are well bunkered.
Hidden Hills has a rating of 74.0 from the championship tees, and the slope rating is 136.

Pace
Pace of play is #1 most important aspect of golf…
4 hr and 45 mins for the front 9, not a ranger or pro in sight, I’m a seller.. paid for 18, left after 9, would have happily paid an even greater exit tax to get off that course..
Get your stuff together, could be really good, 5 and 1/2 hour pace…never again..

Good Golf Day
Nice competitive course with fairways, bunkers, and tee boxes in good shape. Friendly and helpful clubhouse staff. My buddy and I had a great day of golf.

Sparse fairways
Still needs grass in the fairways and around the greens to provide decent lies. Greens were to slow.

Great layout but..
Tight course. If you're a mid or high handiecap player this will be a tough course. Fairways and rough blend together, green side area could use some love, and the greens are rolling slow.. It was OK for the price. Very friendly staff though.

Hidden hills
Course was in great shape. We were 1st group out after a tournament. Round was delayed approx 10 min due to tourn but we set the pace of play. Some of the pins were in difficult locations but made it challenging

Loved the course
I was impressed with the layout of the course. I thought the fairways and greens were in great condition. Some bare spots outside the fairways and some tee boxes. Overall I was very happy with the course. The layout is challenging because you really have to think about how to approach the greens. I can’t wait to play it again.

Overpriced
Great lay out and elevation changes. I had to wait all the time on the group ahead at least for 10 minutes. At one point we had 2 groups waiting. Pace of play really slow.
The fairways and the greens are not in good shape for the price of the green fees.
