Soggy Golf Course Which Merits A Review On Another Day
To be fair, it had rained for days prior to our playing - hence the soggy fairways. The course layout is interesting and the staff is friendly. We will definitely go back to get the full Pebble Creek experience when the course is dry.
P.S. We found 20 balls either plugged in the fairway or just off the cart path which is indicative of soggy play.
Long and wet...
Tough conditions, the grass was long, course was wet. Made finding your ball hard to find even around the greens. Great little course and the staff rocks!
Disappointed
After doing some research, this was supposed to be one of the best courses in the area, but it’s far from it. Fairways were basically rough. Bunkers were horrific. Greens were decent but didn’t make up for the day. Not to mention we got backed up so much we left. Would not recommend.
Poor conditions
i realize, an sympathize that it is Cov 19 era, however, not cutting greens, not prepping traps and no grass on 11 of 18 tee boxes is totally not acceptable.. Especially to keep charging full rates for these conditions. Spoke to Ranger/ Starter and Pro about this, and get nothing but excuses. And the excuses are blaming the weather. Yeah its rained alot, but that has nothing to do with cutting greens, taking care of tee boxes, or raking- preeping traps and bunkers.POOR !!!
Poor, just really poor to charge full rate for unacceptable conditions..
Fourth round at this club
Some good deals in the Pro Shop. Love Christina in the beer cart! Very friendly at Mulligans. The free fries are awesome after a round.
The course was wet. Many people not following cart path rules. Sand traps need attention for sure. All in all a great place to enjoy a round of golf. Stick the par 3s and you’ll be a happy camper.
Course
Greens and tee boxes could use some work, but really enjoyed playing the course.
Much improved
Here we are in late July and this course was in great shape greens rolling true and fast.
I have played here many times over the years and it’s never been in better shape
Good layout
Course was in great shape, a couple of tee boxes were rough, but over all it was in really good shape.
First Time Playing, New Favorite!
This was my first time playing Pebble Creek, and only have positive things to say about it. Our 8:30 tee time was one to remember. Beautifully maintained course and greens, along with challenging hazards coming into play on various holes. Already looking forward to going back!
Good value for money. Slow pace of play.
Overall, good experience. Friendly staff. Course in good condition. Enjoyed the layout. Pace of play was very slow. No ranger. Ended up skipping last 5 holes. I don’t enjoy moody aggressive rangers but a starter would’ve been helpful at least as we started the day waiting on two groups. Maybe it was an off day. Because of the good overall value and quality of the 19th hole, I will give it a second chance.
My experience at Pebble Creek
I have played this course several times now. I have always been impressed by the condition of the course; fairways and greens. The staff is very welcoming and appreciates the fact that you are playing the course.
I would recommend this course!
Good Job
I was here about 6 months ago and the course was a mess. Muddy, sparse grass and the greens were exhausted. Today we were very pleasantly surprised. The greens were in the top 20% of the courses we have played in the Tampa Bay area, many of the fairways were greatly improved, and the tees were marginally better. I like this course. The greens are on the small side, so you need to hit good approach shots or you'll be putting for a lot of bogeys. I will be back again soon.
