Arthur Hills designed the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club to deliver a fun round that's tough to forget. Trees tower, landforms show subtly, and bunkers improve your golf skills. The par-72 golf course measures 6,903 yards, and has gained its renown by offering a design that requires strategy.

A round of golf on the Padre Course at the Camelback Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 446 yards from the black tees. Things get long on the fifth hole, a par 5 that comes in at 553 yards from the black tees, one of four 500-plus-yard holes. The 18th hole is one of these: It's 547 yards from the black tee to the post-round celebration.

After your round on the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club, head to the Golf Grill, serving U.S. cuisine and a fancy Sunday brunch in the style of Southwestern country clubs. There's also a luxury lounge where you can spend winters on the patio by the fireplace.

Terrible Conditions!

The course was in terrible condition. The fairways were bare and the greens were all scuffed up. Course was basically unplayable. The staff was terrible - the ranger is an a-hole. And you have to deal with the "members" (why would anyone pay to belong to this crappy course?) who act like the own the place. There are so many better places to play in Scottsdale area - no one should bother to play this course, which is basically a crappy muni track

Good choice

I’ve never been to AZ in the summer so I can’t really compare but I thought the course was in very good condition considering the heat. My only complaint and it’s definitely not just here but most places, I think the pro shop/starter could do a lot better to pair up singles and doubles to aid the pace of play.

stunning views while playing

Padre course absolutely beautiful. While enjoying the layout the course the view of the skyline was a plus. the greens were fast and really hard in some places. the best part was the staff. super friendly and helpful. I will be looking forward for a return visit to play the other course.

nice views

played the PAdre which Is very playable , fairways are generous but plenty of stuff to keep your interest. ( the starter told me the other course is more of a links style and the fairways require a more precise tee shot.) There are a couple of holes that the greens roll off to a shaved hill side into the water. So some prior knowledge would be helpful. The greens were nice , big and smooth ball rolled well. Traps were a little shy of sand but in good shape. Take time to look at the camelback mountains they are visible on most holes. ( i had a golf pass tee time credit so I basically played for free. I usually don't play $100 courses so I can't say if the value was at market but It was a very pleasant course.
