Verrado Golf Club - Founders Course

Bunkers need work. Course was an interesting layout. Bring a gps to find your landing area. Course knowledge would have been helpful. Beautiful neighborhoods surrounding the course. Better than average. Perhaps some warm weather will promote better grass growth on the course.

Love this course. About the third time playing it, joined a group that was heading out after frost delay at 10:00. Course was in great shape, greens ran very true. Have to spend a bit extra time to get the breaks right, a bit deceiving. Played whites, which were plenty long enough for the cool weather. Played with Steve a Proshop guy there, so the odd slope read was beneficial. Lots of elevation changes, Beautiful large homes and with the jets flying over every once in a while, led to a great day of golf. Will be back.

Course rangers need to be more assertive and proactive in monitoring and enforcing pace of play issues - especially when tee times are being booked solid back-to-back-to-back with high volumes of players. We endured a 5-hour round because groups ahead of us disregarded any courtesy of pace for other groups behind them, routinely searching for balls; taking videos on teeboxes; and driving randomly on fairway to balls. When this was mentioned to a course ranger, he only said "sorry" but did nothing to speak to the group or improve the situation.

Overall, course conditions and amenities are very good. My only complaint was I didn’t have time to warm up before I actually played.. I am one who needs some practice before I play.

We found the staff friendly at every encounter with the staff at Verrado. Our out of town guests were very pleased. The course was in excellent shape. The restaurant was fabulous! Eric, the bartender, was friendly and made the best Bloody Mary. Loved the proshop! Great way to spend the day with friends! Thank you for making our day so enjoyable!

Everything was good, except for being cart path only which it seemed the course was well past being damaged from golf carts. Other than that the course was good and the staff was excellent.

Great place to play. Fantastic patio and good food.

It was cart path only and wish they would put that information on line before you book but overall it was fine.

Pace of play with cart path only was 4:15 minutes.

My wife and I enjoyed our round here a great deal. It was cart path only due to it having rained hard most of the night and into our first 4 holes. However, the course played well and was draining pretty well.

The course was very well groomed, the grass in good shape and the greens quite immaculate. Each hole was unique and interesting. Some with significant elevation changes including a 310 yard uphill par 4.

The scenery was beautiful as the clouds wrapped themselves around the surrounding mountains.

Highly recommended!

Nice course. Good condition and a good layout. Really enjoyed it and will be back. Unfortunately it was cart path only today. It made the pace of play extremely slow. Other than that, I enjoyed the course.
