Verrado Golf Club - Founders Course

We got a great deal on Golf Now to golf this course at 2:54 pm, and we did manage to complete 18 holes before dusk (barely). Course was in great shape. They appear to be doing some improvements around the tee boxes, did not affect play.

I just love this place have golfed here a half dozen times in the past but not last year. So was really looking forward to playing. Course fairways were good, some of the tee boxes are getting rounded and really beat up. Only hit one bunker and 0 sand in green side bunker. Playing partners were in several and same story no sand in bunkers. What a disappointment for a course that charges $200.00 per round. Once again love this place but!!! Some condition issues for price. My wife has never played and was excited to try but not sure it’s worth it until changes are made

Has been a couple of years since I last played this course. I just love the course but pretty disappointed this year. There is no sand in bunkers I was in only one bunker but playing partners were in a few times. What a disappointment for the price. About 1/3 of tee boxes getting rounded and not flat with lots of divots. Fairways excellent and greens were good. One small thing golfed elsewhere and cheaper and had two complimentary water bottles in cooler but not here. Still a great track but not for the price.

Carts were brand new. Awesome layout and views of the mountain. Challenging but playable course. Great Value.

This course has it all! It is a pleasure to play in every aspect and the level of staff professionalism and courtesy is second to none.

Truly an excellent golf experience

It was recommended by a friend and glad we played here. The course was in great shape and challenging - highest score of our four playing days. Fairways and greens were in excellent condition. For an in-season Saturday the pace of play was great and there are some wonderful views from many of the holes.

Beverage Cart showed up on the 2nd Green and then we didn't see her the rest of the nine even though the starter said there was a beverage cart on each 9. Then in the clubhouse we went to mention this to the bartender (who had a very bad attitude) and she disappeared for 10 minutes while we were waiting to get beverages for the back 9. The manager on duty then told us we could only purchase 1 alcoholic beverage each to bring out on the course. We promptly left to begin our back 9. The starter met us outside the clubhouse and we told him our concern. We then saw the bevrage cart on the 10 green and never again. Hopefully you can take this criticism to better train your staff. The golf course was great the F &B staff - not so much.

Bunkers need work. Course was an interesting layout. Bring a gps to find your landing area. Course knowledge would have been helpful. Beautiful neighborhoods surrounding the course. Better than average. Perhaps some warm weather will promote better grass growth on the course.

Love this course. About the third time playing it, joined a group that was heading out after frost delay at 10:00. Course was in great shape, greens ran very true. Have to spend a bit extra time to get the breaks right, a bit deceiving. Played whites, which were plenty long enough for the cool weather. Played with Steve a Proshop guy there, so the odd slope read was beneficial. Lots of elevation changes, Beautiful large homes and with the jets flying over every once in a while, led to a great day of golf. Will be back.

Course rangers need to be more assertive and proactive in monitoring and enforcing pace of play issues - especially when tee times are being booked solid back-to-back-to-back with high volumes of players. We endured a 5-hour round because groups ahead of us disregarded any courtesy of pace for other groups behind them, routinely searching for balls; taking videos on teeboxes; and driving randomly on fairway to balls. When this was mentioned to a course ranger, he only said "sorry" but did nothing to speak to the group or improve the situation.

Overall, course conditions and amenities are very good. My only complaint was I didn’t have time to warm up before I actually played.. I am one who needs some practice before I play.
