Verrado Golf Club - Founders Course

We've played this course a few times now and it's been great every time; the conditions, the play and the beauty of it!

Greens and bunkers In terrible condition. Fairways mediocre for a top course. Quite disappointed.

The course was in great condition except for the greens! They were bumpy! We also had an issue with the 3 some behind us was playing target practice on us on the last three holes! No Ranger around after 5 PM so se could not report it!

love the course, the facility, and the people are great! the course is in pretty good condition except the greens, which we knew, were a little choppy due to a wash out during re-seeding. they are however, working hard to remedy this. ok, all that being said, paying $170 per player is a little bit steep given that upon arriving, we find out it is cart path only. i'll be the first to admit, i need the exercise, but i have workout equipment at home. it just takes away from the experience having to grab 3-4 clubs, only to find out you don't have the one you need when you get to your ball. one might as well walk the course, but not sure if that is even allowed.

We were playing up with the 4 some before us. The 3 non gentlemen playing behind us for 15 holes decide to play target practice on us! While we were teeing off on a par 4 they hit three balls over our heads and never apologized for the event! They said they did not see us! BS ! They proceeded to hit into us two more times before the end of the round! We would have told a Ranger but we found that at the end of our round the Ranger left at 5pm long before we finished our round. We have been playing TheFounders course since it opened up..NeverAgain!

Absolutely Beautiful Course. The Greens were very rough, bumpy and inconsistent. Bunkers were poor with little loose sand with hardpan inches from the surface.

I would play the course again, but not for the fees they are charging at this time.

Awful greens right now. They should be embarrassed to charge this much. One of my favorite courses and I was surprised how bad it was

Played this course on 3/42023 and what a disappointment. DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$. We played twilight rate but still not even worth that.........

I had played here a few years back and it was in excellent shape but the greens are now beyond terrible. The tee boxes are terrible also. The back 9 was not quite as bad as the front 9 greens but still this is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable when paying this kind of money. They are bumpy and diseased.

This course should be shut down until they fix this issue or make it known to the customers and offer a discounted rate (I still would have passed on playing these greens). I will not play this course again until this issue is fixed. I have a couple of buddies that live on the Victory course and I would have rather played that course twice instead of wasting the $$ on Founders.

Other than not letting you know about the greens, the staff was excellent.

Booked this course couple of months before. Played the Founders course and enjoyed the experience a few years back. Started off the 10th hole and the greens were diseased and quite bumpy.. Spoiled the round. Paid full price and no pre-warning of what to expect by the Proshop except that we were starting on #10. It really was a disappointment after making the trip from Phoenix ( live in Toronto, Canada).

After playing over 100 courses in the PHX area, Founders set the record for worst greens I've seen. Putts literally rolled like a whiffle ball to the cups... the poa is so bad I've played many temporary greens that putt truer. Such a shame as every other aspect of the course is fantastic. You definitely should not be charging full rates until you either fix the issue or more likely replace all of your greens. After driving an hour to Buckeye to play was pretty disappointed. Your practice greens are great so not sure what took place on the course but I like to play a real course ie tee to green. If you just enjoy swinging and don't care about score or putting it would be worth playing....

The greens on all but 2 holes are incredibly bumpy with patches of near bare ground. I’m surprised by the overall rating because it’s been this way for the past 2 years. This is otherwise a great layout, but with so many options, now a hard pass.

I have played this course several times and love the layout. Golf service upon arrival is always very good but generally find Proshop staff not overly service oriented.

The cart ladies, Marshalls and staff are always fantastic and the food service at the restaurant is great.

Unfortunately my lower than good or excellent rating is due to the very poor green disease or challenges they are having currently. Totally understand that these challenges occur on all golf courses but with prices at close to $190 USD this course is not worthy of this fee….given the shape of all of the greens and beat up tee boxes the staff and course management should post these issues for customer when purchasing green fees….. or at the very least offer a reduced price as this will be an issue for retaining customers in the future.

Also the 18th hole is a great finishing hole by water but would be great if staff could blow off all the bird poo from the resident birds every few hours as we had to contend with cleaning the green with our putters prior to putting.
