Total lack of golf ethics and way too slow pace of play. Play faster or get out of the way.

Pace of play extremely too slow. Needed a course marshall to either speed people up or jusy ask them to leave. Paid for 18 but could just stomach 9. Too many people have NO golf course ethics what so ever. Would be nice to play on a course where ethics were on display and course marshalls help keep the pace of play moving.

Gatlinburg

Ok conditions some greens dont get enough air and are diseased. Was a fun course to play numerous blind shots make it difficult to know where to hit your tee shots. I did like the elevation changes. Would play again . Bfair

Great course

The course is in great shape even with the greens punched and sanded just days before our round. They were still cut and rolled great. Fairway conditions were also excellent. The pace of play was quite slow for most of the front nine but picked up as we started the back. Unfortunately they allowed a single to go out on 10 ahead of us and we caught up to him, which slowed us up again for the last several holes. Beautiful mountain layout with a lot of elevation changes, especially on the back. Great staff, pro shop and snack bar. I definitely recommend it.

Lots of steep play

For those who are not long hitters, it can be tough. Cart path only because of steepness on some holes. That means lots of hiking up to the green.

I got my exercise today!

Never Again

There is too much negative about this course and the experience to be able to recommend it. The layout is scenic, but many of the holes are “tricked up” unnecessarily in a way that takes the fun out of it. Many very blind shots severe slopes. The greens are fast, but many areas on many greens are completely dead/mud. The fairways and tee boxes are very average for a public course. But, this course has some fatal flaws that cannot be overcome even after overlooking the layout and conditions.

The lack of a practice facility is one such flaw. And, had I known that the cart timers are set for a 4.5hr round, I would have passed right there, but I guess that's all they can expect given that 9 of the holes are cart path only with severe slopes to walk on to get to your ball. The fact that our round was actually 5 hours 10 minutes makes it completely unacceptable. I complained to a marshal on the 4th hole that we were on a 5 ½ hour pace, and he solved that problem by never showing up again the rest of the round. The course is very much more difficult than the slope ratings would indicate – probably 10 points too low. A 230 yard par 3 to an uphill elevated green? Give me a break!

Throw in that there's no drinking water available on the course, and this becomes a 'once in a lifetime' experience (because I'd never go back). Too bad - it could be a great experience.

Great course...great patrons

My brother in law and I played this course with a wonderful couple. Course was in great shape except for a couple of greens on the back nine. If you are in the Gatlinburg area I highly recommend playing this course. You will enjoy it.

Poor pace of play.

I would love to play this course again but probably won't given the poor pace of play. It took 5.5 hours to complete the round.
