Great course, great conditions, but….

Have played here many times and has always been great. This trip up I grabbed a 3:50 tee time for 18 holes. Was teeing off on 15 at 6:40 and received notice on my cart’s yardage screen that the cart had to be back at 7 to the club house. I understand the staff wanting to get out of there as early as possible, but at the very least the clubhouse personnel should inform you of that condition when checking in to tee off. I was dropped off at the course by my family and informed them I would be done close to 8. Needless to say being stuck waiting on a ride isn’t an ideal situation. Pace of play is 4.5 hours and if carts are due back at 7, the course shouldn’t book 18 hole tee times beyond 2:30. Just my opinion…

Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda

Clubhouse is spacious and looks like a private club. This is a City owned Public course with two distinctly different nines. Front nine is resort-like and much easier than the back nine which is tighter, more secluded and more scenic. Overall, the layout is fun and scenic with lots of elevation change. To be honest, for a $75 green fee, the greens were substandard at best and unplayable at worst. All greens were punched (aerated) about a month ago and were top dressed with white sand that left each aeration hole slightly below grade causing putted balls to hop and bounce like jumping beans. They have also been attacked by fungus and are crusty and bare around the edges and in many other areas. Pace of play was slow - our round took over five hours to finish. No sign of a marshall - anywhere. No sign of beverage carts - anywhere despite being told they had them. Bottom line: fun course, great views, challenging layout, so-so conditions.

For the money at a resort, expected better greens & fairways

Staff very friendly. Carts good! Not a nice bathroom, and none out on the course, only at the turn. It's a beautiful layout but unless you go regularly, you'll not know where the water, river, or trouble lies. The score card does not accurately show where to layup. But it's a gorgeous area, Mountain View's, a par 3 high on a hill.

Course has been better shape.

Played this course for 35 years as a visitor. Unfortunately many greens are in poor shape due to stress and being wrongly fertilized. It was in worst shape I have ever seen. Course layout is great. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Discounted pricing should be the norm for the course in tough condition with the greens as they were.

Gorgeous. Fairly challenging. Great staff.

While visiting Gatlinburg we headed over to Pigeon Forge for a day of golf. Super friendly and helpful staff. Nice putting and chipping greens but since there's no driving range, there are 3 nets set up to get a swing going. From the very first tee box, the views are spectacular and the fairway challenging with hills and uneven stance. If you stay in the fairway, you'll be rewarded! The carts are electric and ride smoothly. Some of the greens have some problem areas, maybe due to excessive rains this year, but balls were still rolling fine.

A spectacular day at Gatlinburg GC

Even with a little rain had a great time with my family today.

Great layout and much different from Florida courses I play at home. Course is short but challenging (especially the back nine).

The par 3 12th hole is worth the trip, but this course also has other challenging holes where tee shot placement is critical.

A special shout out to the course staff. They were accommodating, super friendly, and made it very easy for me (4 hdcp), my wife (non-golfer), and my two sons (infrequent golfers) to enjoy this beautiful course.

Good value as well with $50 pp Hotdeal.

We ll be back next time we re in the Gatlinburg area.

Pleasant surprise.

I was looking for a course to fill in my week and trying not to spend a fortune. I came across Gatlinburg C.C and was very happy with the results.

Tourist course

AZ golfer in town dropping kid off at college.

1st, the bad. Its a "treat course". Its a course in the heart of Dollywood and you pay for it. No driving range. Some views ruined by encroaching tourist area. There are better courses nearby for better price. I played 3 the week I was here.

Now, the awesome. Course layout. Tons of fun. Blind shots, funky lies, elevated tees and greens. Narrow fairways making shot placement important. Signature #12 does not disappoint and not even my favorite hole. For an AZ golfer, I was geeking out on almost every hole.

Labor day golf

Course layout is challenging yet fun the greens need work lots of dead spots pace of play was what I expected made the turn for the marshal to tell us we're behind play pace only to catch up to 4 different groups on hole 11 all in all you paying for the luxury of being 5 minutes from Dollywood great views throughout

Good but not great

Got a good deal which is why we got good value for our money but this won't become a favorite course.

Greens are in pretty rough shape although they roll fairly smooth. There are a lot of blind shots (not a favorite) and the number of cart path only holes/areas seemed excessive and not really required.

Amazing

The course has amazing elements but it is beautiful everywhere you look. Only got to play nine but will be back to play all 18. Love the elevations changes and very challenging, but don't be intimidated.
