Nice course

This a pretty difficult course to play but is a fair course. With good shots you can get good results. If it's your first visit, it will do you well to play with someone familiar with the course. Many blind shots. There are very few flat spots on the course which adds to the challenges! I want to play it again now that I have seen it! I will be back.

Greens are fading

Great course but the greens are dying. There weren't many people playing but they were all in front of us. We waited almost 20 minutes per hole.

Great Day

WE had an excellent round. The course is challenging, but offers good risk/reward opportunities. The views of the surrounding mountains was spectacular. I highly recommend this course to all golfers.

beautiful course

awesome course! the staff is friendly and welcomes first timers with open arms. the course itself is very challenging (played the whites) with tight windows and shot shape, especially on the back 9. the views are worth paying the greens fee and #12, is the best par 3 I've ever played, (200 ft drop from tee to green). highly recommend if coming to pigeon forge/gatlinburg must play once, if not twice!

Mountain Course....And How!

This course is definitely mountainous and undulating. If you like this type of course, you will enjoy Gatlinburg Golf Course. There are very few level lies and some of the holes have elevated tees or greens to the extreme. The course was in good condition, except for the greens which were not in very good shape. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Had to walk the course'

I guess they considered the course to be unplayable due to the previous nights rain. Had to play the course as cart path only. The round was brutal. The course was not that wet. I would check for course conditions before booking.

Not what I was expecting

The course layout was great, however the pace of play was extremely painful along with a serious gnat problem. Front 9 was in great condition, however the back 9 tee boxes were in horrible condition and some of the worst I've seen. I've played much, much nicer course for the price I paid. Some club members I spoke with recommended Sevierville Golf Club over Gatlinburg Golf Course. So any first timers interested in playing this course should seriously question themselves before playing.

Great fun!

I thoroughly enjoyed this course. I haven’t played it in about 30 years. It was in bad shape then and excellent shape when I played recently.

This is a difficult course. You will have trouble finding a flat lie on most holes. It is a mountain course after all. Local knowledge is a huge help.

The layout is fun. I believe they got the best layout possible from what they had to work with. Hole 12 is a real treat. I played from the white tees and it was 184 yds with a 200 ft drop. I put it over the green with a 9 iron LOL.

The greens were in excellent shape with the exception of a few spots.

The pace of play was good. It’s going to be slower than most courses considering awkward lies and most players will not be familiar with the eccentricities.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Overall, a great golf experience. Can’t wait to go back.
