Enjoyable round!

Greens were very true. Elevation changes made it challenging but fun. Will be playing another round later this week.

Great value for your money

Beautiful and scenic golf course which was immaculate . It took 5 and 30 minutes to play 18 holes plus it was cart path only due to recent rains. A group of 3 in front of us and a two some behind. We played as a four some, but overall a great day with my grandson who recorded his first eagle. Played here about 3 years ago and was beutjful then. Have played other courses for twice the price that were not the class of this course.

Good resort course

It is good course, but front party was little bit slow pace because of resort play.
Course condition is pretty good but a lot of small like horseflies disturbed our concentration.
Front nine holes are little bit boring but back nine too much tricky.
Longest tee is 6300 yard Blue.
Some long hitter won't be satisfied.

Excellent layout

Too slow due to inexperienced golfers who should really be in the driving range. Rangers should really be out to direct players.

Beautiful course

The course had amazing mountains views and the course is a lot of fun. We are from Florida and it was different playing on a course with so many hills and challenges. We would defiantly recommend this course and plan on playing it again when we return next year.

Very pleasant

A very nice course, challenging yet fair. The course was wet so it was cart paths only but that was okay. I was a single, so they paired with me with another single and we had an enjoyable round.
The 12th is the signature hole for good reason. Very picturesque! The only possible funky hole might be the 10th, where there is little room for the second shot on this par-5.
Very nice facilities and there was a guide to key holes on the back if the scorecard.

Fun and challenging layout

The front 9 and the back 9 are totally different layouts. This is my 2nd time playing here and I will continue to return when I am in the area. Staff are friendly and the starter is efficient in getting folks off the tee. Made a tee time as a single and got paired up with another single and we had a great time. The front has two par 5's that are reachable in 2. Greens are in GREAT shape. Fairways roll well and the course is overall is solid shape. A must play if you are in Pigeon Forge.

Great Golf in the Smokeys

On a vacation in the Smokey Mountains for hiking and sightseeing. We decided to play some golf and were very pleased with Gatlinburg GC. It was an enjoyable round- especially to find such a nice course on a non-golfing vacation!

Everyone should play here at least once!

Nice course... Front nine is average, back nine is narrow and tough. Like all the other reviews say, hole 12 par 3 is awesome. Probably the one hole that keeps you coming back. Not much water on this course but plenty of other hazards. Beautiful day and with the golf now app my father and I got a great deal and had a blast!

Bring your slope rangefinder and some humor

Pros: bent greens were in great shape; friendly staff: nice carts. Course not short on elevation changes
Cons: no driving range;some fairways burned out. Slope Range finder a must. Great shots don't pay off because of too many blind tee shots and alley way fairways from the tips. 16 degree, 197yrd par 3 drop from the sky is almost ridiculous. If you play the round for entertainment and not competition it's a blast. Hang on and have fun.

Well kept

Good course, number 12 was awesome, teeing off a mountain to a green 3 clubs down the hill. Bring some bug spray though, the knats are bad in the spring.

Great course with challenging shots

Played on a Saturday afternoon when they had a tourney that morning. Play was pretty slow. The course was in good condition even though they had done a small core aeration on the greens. The greens are in good shape and are soft. Bermuda is not growing yet in the fairways so there were some thin places but I expect that will fill in once the warm weather hits. Overall the course is fun to play and I will play here again. Thumbs up.

Right in my own back yard!!!

I drive past Gatlinburg Golf Course every day. It's almost in my back yard. I've been here since 2007 and never have played the course. Circumstances have me traveling to FL every other week so I play in the FL panhandle. Yes, the greens have been recently punched but there was no sand on the greens. Even with the greens punched the putts rolled very, very well. I was surprised! The mountain landscape on this course is beautiful and that alone is worth the price of admission. It was "cart path only" when we played and that is the difficult challenge of this course. If you are not in shape and don't keep it in the fairway I would imagine it would be quite difficult for you to play this course on a "cart path only" day. It's a cardiovascular workout getting to your ball and back to the cart and that can make the playing time longer than expected for everyone.
You have to play this course if you are visiting the Pigeon Forge area. The course is named Gatlinburg Golf Course but it is in Pigeon Forge right down from Dollywood. If you are originally from the flat land areas of our country (like I am) you may never see another course like this. The par three that has the green waiting for you about 200 feet below the elevated tee box is tough for club selection. I talked myself into an easy 9 iron and it still went over the green. Selected a pitching wedge and hit another tee shot and had it hit the green it would have been on the back side. If you miss hit on that hole make sure it's to the left of the green. Right is gone!!!

Vacation Round

I played this course on my last day of vacation. I booked the earliest tee time hoping to be done before I had to be back for checkout at my hotel. The girl in the pro shop allowed me to tee off a little early so I was able to get around the track just in time to be back (around 3hrs). As I expected the course was way different from the courses that I normally play being from Ohio. Playing in the mountains was a fun experience but I prefer a more level course. Overall the clubhouse was very nice and the grass was still dormant and brown from the winter but was in good condition. I thought the front 9 was easier than the back 9 where way more mountain elements come into play. Overall it was a good experience, I would play there again if I vacation in that area again. The cost was a little steep even on golf now at $55 but there were better rates on the days that I couldn't play.

call before you go (green maintainence)

Amazing views, kinda cool, quirky, carnival-ish golf holes. Greens freshly punched full of holes, fairways were browned out mud patches,Cart path only, no Bloody Mary available (LOL), beer only, Had to skip 1st hole as a family of 5 were 30 minutes in and not on green yet, No starter/ranger etc. Is probably fantastic come summer time, but not yet, awesome value thru GolfNow is only saving grace. Worth the visit as I didn't expect more for this time of year.
