Riverwalk Golf Club

About
A collaborative effort by Ted Robinson Sr. and his son has resulted in a most scenic championship layout. The championship 18 meanders through mature eucalyptus trees, tall palms, and majestic oaks. Sparkling ponds contrast with the dozens of white sand bunkers and the emerald green, Bermuda grass fairways.

Good but...
Attractive, well-maintained track. But the pace of play is glacial.
Perhaps handicap-based tee guidance would help.
Beautiful Long Coarse!
Had an exceptional day playing 18 with little brother. I live so close and never made it out to RW. It’s my knew favorite.
Pick a tee time after 1:30 and save 25% cart rental and two players was $175
Nice greens
Greens were in great shape and rolling well. Most tee boxes were like hitting out of the rough and hadn’t been cut in a while. Fairways were very patchy and in pretty bad shape.
good course, marshall needs to do better
We had the 2nd tee time of the day and a marshall told us to jump the first group because they were 4 walking players and we were 2 riding, so being our first time playing here we did what was told, we maintained a good pace only slowed down when at the back nine we were told it was car path only by another marshall(dog in cart) and that we needed to drive back to the cart path. At that point was the only time we saw the group behind us wait while we finished on the green. A couple holes later the same marshall the guy with a dog comes back to us telling us the we jumped the guys behind and we were slowing the pace and they are better golfers and they are regulars at that course so they should play thru, all of this while we are on the green, not a suggestion he was telling us they are playing thru, i told him about the other marshall telling us to jump them that that wasnt our choice, he didnt care. At that point we grabbed our ball from the green didnt finish the hole and went to the next hole, we finished the round with out seeing the group behind us like we did the front nine. we ended playng a 2hr and 40 min 18 hole round thats not a slow pace. This dog marshall (had a dog in his cart) ruined the vibes of the day just because his regulars buddies had to wait maybe 2 minutes for one hole.
shabby
this course could be awesome, but it seems like no investment is being made in the course conditions. Seems like a very shabby muni, but still charge over $100.
Rough wintertime condition in spite of price increases this year
We are back to drought wintertime conditions at Riverwalk. Only one (recent) measurable rain since April 2024. Many bare areas in the fairways. Dead sod where it was put in but not provided sufficient water. Given the rate increases this year the condition is disappointing. The carts are newer. A lot of staff turnover as usual but we've always been treated well in spite of this so they must have good hiring screening.
Pretty good value
It's a decent track. The layout is interesting with some good risk reward shots. Greens are in good shape while the fairways are patchy.
Overall good value.
