Saddlebrook Resort - Pine/Oak

I have played many many courses in the Tampa Bay area since moving to Florida in 2019 and this course is in my top five favorite courses. Lush fairways and greens in great shape, even though they were just plugged. A couple tee boxes needed some help but I can live with that. For the price, you won't find a better deal in this area. The pace was incredibly slow as it didn't seem anyone wanted to let anyone else play through but its a weekend round so no biggie.

This course is one of my all time favorites to play. Not only do the staff treat you like a king, but the course is in great shape. It’s the best non private course in my opinion.

First thing first; the valet staff is awful and not very friendly both arriving and leaving. (1 star)

The guys at the cart stand deserve a lot of credit for making our day so enjoyable. I had the pleasure of meeting a fellow retired Vet and had a blast talking to him while waiting for the other guys in our group. His name was either Dan/Don I can’t remember but it’s not because he was forgettable. In fact we all agreed he was part of the experience. He went out of his way to go pick two of the guys up at valet. (5 stars)

The pro shop was excellent and also a lot of fun and part of our experience. My only complaint is they had a huge humidor but no cigars. (5 Stars)

We played the Palmer course and other than being recently punched the course was in good shape. A few of the tee boxes need to leveled out because we couldn’t find a flat spot. Some of the pin placements were just silly and way way to much dead grass on both fairways and rough. Great layout and a lot of fun to play. (4 Stars)

For the price and considering the time of year it was beyond worth the price and we will definitely be back, if for no other reason other than the golf staff made our good day a GREAT experience.

1st time playing the Palmer course. Very nice, except for the greens!! Still remnants of the aeration that looked like it was done a few months ago - ball bounced all over the place when putting... ughhh. Outside of the greens, I enjoyed the T-boxes to the fairways.

2nd time at Saddlebrook and the apathy at the pro shop is still alive and well! If you don't like what you're doing, leave!!

I'm sure that Arnie probably played here in the past and really enjoyed it as I did. $35 to play this wonderful course even in the hot, hot, hot summer is great. Even though the course was being airrated it was still in great shape. greens a little slow to be expected. Fairways and tee boxes were excellent. I practically had the course too myself as these old farts can't take the summer heat. I'm 64 and I have lived on the gulf coast for 30 years and at least there is almost always a warm breeze. I will come back to Saddle Brook and play the other course in the near future.

They have been working on this course for about a year now they need to get done

Some greens need work, they had temporary greens that they didn’t tell us about! Now they are charging $8 for valet parking and it took a while to get my car! Left a bad taste in my mouth, wont be going back anytime soon

Expected much better course is a lovely setting. Green first nine awful. Aeration was tercentenary but greens are gone in most places the back was a bit better.
