Saddlebrook Resort - Pine/Oak

Greens were extremely long and thus very slow. We simply couldn’t putt the ball hard enough.

I gave the Saddlbrook course a pretty rough review a few weeks ago, so I feel the need to give them the praise they deserve this time. Course was in great condition especially considering the recent wet weather. Tee boxes, fairways, greens all in great shape. The rough is let's say rough on this course. Lost a few balls that I know barely missed the fairway and found a few after long searches, that were all but invisible. It just eats up the ball, but the point is to keep it in the fairways so can't blame anyone but myself. Still no cart service because it was a very slow day, but the guy in the clubhouse made it a point to tell me and point me to where I could get refreshments if needed. TBH, I'm pretty sure he read my review connected to my last booking. Also gave a pretty decent discount because of the lack of cart service and a 90 degree rule, which was understandable because of the wet weather lately. Little touches like some towels in the carts were appreciated, especially with the muddy conditions in places. Great practice area too.

Played course when it was fairly wet and much of the rough hadn’t been mowed. The layout was very good and worth the money on a hot deal rate. Many of the greens were in somewhat bad shape so putting was difficult. Fairways were in good shape and pace of play was fine. Staff of was very friendly.

I play this course most often in the Tampa area. Great track, management and value. It’s in pretty good shape now and I look forward to golfing there again soon

Incredible and beautiful resort. Course layout was great but unfortunately grasses were overgrown and not managed properly for quality of this amazing course.

Rain was heavy night before, but middle of fairways were underwater. To still charge $70 knowing the conditions were that bad is poor on part of course.

No one else on the course, which was good. Greens on some of the holes were awful! Would not pay $70 to play there again. Too bad…the reputation had my hopes really high

Saddlebrook course was in good shape, despite all of the recent rain. The greens were consistent and a bit slow (expected due to the rain) but in excellent shape. Staff is always very friendly. I play both Saddlebrook and Palmer (the other 18) multiple times per year. Practice facility is one of the best in the area.

Nice course layout but it’s not in the top condition. The green were slow and the ruff were crazy long “As in you wil not see the top of your ball” will Definately play again maybe during the peel season the condition will get better but for the price right now nothing wrong with this course

Poor markings and directions through-out run down resort.

Pretty fair greens, but very poor marking to tee’s. Staff was not very friendly nor were they informative.

Don’t bother eating at the clubhouse. Had to wait over 40 minutes for an overpriced salad- and NO, it was not busy at the time, I was amongst MAYBE 10 people in the restaurant; PEOPLE, not tables.

All in all, not worth the price!!

If you can get the $45 GolfNow special, it's worth it. If you have to pay full price, it's definitely not. Carts are old, slow, and small. Tee boxes were pretty beat, fairways were decent, and greens were so so.

This place wants so badly to be a top notch golf destination, but falls way short. However, could get back there with a little effort. For $45 I had a good day, but if it was the usual $80+, I would have been very unhappy.

90+ degree, humid, Florida day and although I did see the beverage cart restocking near the clubhouse, I never saw it on the course. Luckily I brought my own water or I'd probably be dead. Bathrooms are absolutely disgusting, even the one by the pool, close to the resort.

I really like both the courses here so it's too bad they can't get their act together a bit more. It's a pretty short course, but very well designed, which is what you'd expect from Arnold Palmer.

Excellent course design. Abive average length from white tees. Course is in excellent condition. We were the only ones there at 10AM Memorial Day so played at our own pace. Was awesome! Lots of dogleg so be prepared to play lots of different shots. Not too much water or woods so I would say forgiving for high handicappers. The only thing preventing 5 stars is lack of merchandise in the clubhouse. Almost looked like they were closing?
