The Links At Bodega Harbour

About
The Links at Bodega Harbour is conveniently situated along the Sonoma County Coast, only an hour from San Francisco and two hours from Sacramento. Its location perched above the Pacific also provides stunning ocean views. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.in 1978, the back nine was the original course before the front nine was added nine years later. Jones designed a traditional Scottish links layout complete with rolling fairways and fast, undulating greens. There are almost 100 bunkers strategically situated throughout as well as thick patches of native coastal rough that are just waiting to swallow even slightly errant shots. The golf course is not long but it requires both skill and strategy. The final three holes are not only the most challenging, they also boast the most breathtaking views.

unique features
be prepared for some difficult fairways and greens. Bunkers are magical due to set conditions from irrigation and several holes are very unusual such as hole 5, 16 and 17 so ask about then at the pro shop.
No driving range...only cages...
2. Incredibly difficult first 4 opening holes.
3. Best to tee off early as wind picks up around noon and increases
4. No sit down restaurant...and a good distance into town
For a bar and restaurant
5. Carts are new and good
6. Ample two putting greens
For the money and the views this place is worth it. A hassle to take your bag off the golf cart to push cart (provided) holes 16 + 17 then switch back to elec cart
+ play 18...
Excellent service. Great course
Whole experience was excellent. Beginning with the starter who made us feel like this was our home course. Enjoyed the selection and the service quality at the snack bar. Of course the course played beautifully. A little windy when we played but excellent conditions. The greens the fairways. Looking forward to coming back soon
Great Views
It's on California coast, so the wind is going to be blowing. But, we were lucky and got in much of our round before it showed up. The course is challenging for me (20 handicaper), so I moved up to the white tees. That made the par 3's reasonable, even into the wind. My only complaint was with the start. We arrived about 45 minutes early and were ready to go, but the golf course said they had a policy that pre-paid (3rd party) golfers could not start early. So, we sat in the cart on the 1st tee for 30 minutes, even though no other players had arrived at the course. Just a silly policy.
Always A Challenge
We played Bodega after a series of “atmospheric rivers” had rolled through the area. Understandably, it was cart path only and there were quite a few soggy areas on the course. But that didn’t stop us from having a great time on this tough course. The opening 3 holes are a tough test to start your round. Get past those and then start enjoying the views and your round of golf on the coast. Hole 16 is always fun and beautiful. We play out at Bodega twice a year and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Definitely give Bodega a try if you’re up for a challenge.
Always fun and challenging
The links of Bodega Harbour is always a absolute delight to play . It has challenging holes, beautiful views and a great pro shop staff .
Bodega Harbour
Slow play, but overall a worthwhile round. Greens were wonderful, and the course wasn’t too soft
Stunning views
About every time I got up to my ball I had to stop and appreciate the view. Bright blue water in the harbor underneath a beautiful course on the cliffs. Be careful of the houses surrounding the course. Some white flowers could make your ball hard to find, but they seemed to be mostly cleared in the areas my playing partner and I hit into. Greens were receptive and ran true. Don’t think I saw a pitch mark on the greens all day, despite being soft enough to land plenty of club on. Black tees were pretty manageable, with some pretty long par 3s on the front that I was rewarded for taking 3 wood on. Hole 5 is very challenging. Read the sign posted, then read it again. I’ll have to come back another time to keep my ball in bounds. Did get a birdie on 16 after driving the green. Fun to get aggressive there after being cautious for most of the course due to the surrounding neighborhood.
🙏 please put the flagsticks in the holes.
I was the first golfer out. On the front nine, exactly one pin was in the golf hole. That was on #4.
On a rainy and very foggy day- we all need an aim point to have a chance to go really low.... greens were in great shape, however!
