This is a fun course to play. While it's challenging, it presents great opportunity for thoughtful play. The scenery can't be topped. The employees are friendly and welcomiing.

Beautiful views of the ocean the course was in good shape and challenging wind can be a factor. The last 3 holes are interesting and a creative design. Was fortunate to have a great 70 degree clear sunny day.

We drive 2.5 hr. It's worth it , try to come here 3-4 times a year

First time playing it. A lot of hidden views, but fun. Unique and challenging.

Staff was very nice and helpful. The course it gorgeous with beautiful views on almost every hole. However, we stayed in a home owned by friends on the first tee and every day, all day long, there were people on the green with people waiting mid fairway and people waiting on the tee. Consequently, when we played we waited on the group ahead all day and the group behind waited on us as there was nowhere to go. I believe the course could command higher fees but space the tee times out so people could enjoy the game, the scenery and have a decent pace of play. They should have someone on the first tee and when they see people who set up on the championship tees who drive less then 200 yards they should move them up. I see this on courses all the time and have been to two courses that either choose the tee based on your handicap or your first drive for you. Courses really need to start pushing the tee it forward program and move people that it takes three or four shots to get to the green in regulation on a par four to move up. I watched guys all day play of the black tees then hack up the fairway to get bogeys, doubles, triples, etc.

For anyone over a 12 or so handicap your going to have lots of trouble here. If your just into the scenery and experience your money is well spent.

Love the course. The views are amazing.. The weather can make it more interesting, fog in the morning, windy in the afternoon.

First 5-6 holes are not fun at all, due to the challenging terrain - severe uphill with steep fall offs, followed by severe downhill and fall-offs. Requires detail knowledge of course, hitting landing zones and hitting accurate shots. Mid 9-10 holes are quite terrific. Weather was excellent when I played, but could be challenging if fog and windy given seaside location.
Very slow play given the unusual terrain and difficulty. I would only go back on a warm, sunny and windless day. Views can be extraordinary.

Course was in great shape with ocean views for every hole (I think!). If it's your first time, you should power cart it as the front nine is pretty hilly. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Love it! Awesome views, 3 holes on the ocean!, tough course, crazy wind at times, but I want to comeback already! Bodega Bay is our little piece of golf heaven.

We played on June 12--clear skies, low 60's, but very windy--gusts up to 50 mph. Very tiring trying to play in that wind. We have played at other times of the year and not had as much wind--there is always some, but nothing like we had this time!

Extremely windy, very slow play, must have been because of the holiday. Greens needed some more attention.

Although it is out of the way, the diversity and beauty of the course make the trip worthwhile. The re-done greens are fast, but put true, and the elevation changes are very challenging. Play the course in the AM unless you can play a knock down driver. Bring layers. It was 68 and calm when we started, and turned to foggy and howling by end of the round. Several of the back nine holes are into the teeth of the prevailing wind, with OB on either side. No need to go to Oregon if you like this kind of abuse, or a sea lion serenade.

Fish and chips at the bar are excellent and the staff are always friendly. View can't be beat.

I thought the course was obviously beautiful at this time of the year and the weather held up nicely while we played. Love the challenge of the layout and didn't hit a single house!
I was a little shocked at the 16th and 17th hole, but it was a fun day and a lot of fun for both of us. I would definitely recommend this course.
