Course condition
Too many leaves on the course,hard to find balls. Also fairways has a lot of uneven patch. Not very well maintained. Not very accommodating staff.
Great round on a cold winter day
Fairways were moist but not bad, bunkers were mostly flooded but normal for the year. Met 3 nice folks and had a great round.
wet winter conditions
too near to past weeks rain storms. a bit muddy on fairways but greens in great shape. sand traps some full of water can't find my ball.
What happened?
Ancil Hoffman is my favorite course in town and I play it often. It hasn’t rained in months and we’re in a drought. This last round we played lift, clean and place because the course is a muddy mess. Why is the course so overwatered? I rarely see the course this wet in the middle of winter.
It’s a great course but I would not recommend it until they fix the irrigation problem
Ancil Hoffman has been and still is a great course.
Trees
Narrow fairways lined with test, greens started but should be good by mid October
Greens still bumpy after being punched two weeks prior
Course is in very good condition. Other than the greens were a little bit bumpy, more than I expected after two weeks. Should be good in another week or so.
Really good course
Unfortunately, greens had been punched and were not in good condition. This was not mentioned when I had called the course.
Fairways also were not in good condition-likely due to last two weeks of hot weather
Last heat wave really did damage

The conditions are really good for the season. Played during 100 degree temps. Don’t see too many burnt out areas.
