Drunk greenskeeper
Some of the flag placements were off by two colors. There at least 4 holes where the designated tee color was way off. Number 14 had a red pin that was on the back edge. I hit the perfect shot to a red pin just to find one of my playing partners sculled shot just past the back “red” pin. Cost me a possible $8 greenie. Your pins are normally placed rediculously also. If you want the course to play a little quicker on a Friday, then don’t illegally place pins 3 paces from the edge of a sloping green. Really STUPID!
Trees Trees, everywhere the trees
Yes there are lots of trees on this course but also a lot of shade when it's hot. There's also bucks, does, fawns, turkeys, geese and lots of trees. Okay yes if you can hit the ball 230 to 250+ you need to have control of your ball or you'll be punching out of the trees to the fairways all day. Beautiful course, great shape some bare spots on a couple of fairways but not bad. First time there but will definitely return.

13 handicapper. Been playing for about 2 years.
Challenging course that plays longer than yardages listed. Narrow fairways with some tricky greens.
A couple holes have trees in locations that were unique and made the course tougher to play than I expected. Shot one of my worst scores of the year but loved the layout. Staff was extremely friendly. Will be back.
Tricky Greens
The holes were cut in the corners of the greens and putting was challenging. The course is in good shape, just a little wet in some places.
Iconic course!
Pace of play really slowed down on the back 9, but still a really nice open course!
Early and worth it!
We tee;d off at 6:04am and even though we had to get up extra early, Ancil Hoffman was worth it. The course was a little damp but that's to be expected being so early in the morning. I didn't play as well as I had hoped for but I really enjoyed and course and look forward to going back.
This course is great.
The only problem are the sand traps. They have been neglected and in disrepair.
