Cherry Island Golf Course

This course was in awesome shape, I want to play it again.

while some of this was beyond control some was just a problem, to put it the fastest and easiest way, I will not come back, this course has not gotten it down yet as far as golf in this virus problem. Played another Sac course and they have it down, which would be Ancil Hoffman, would I make the effort to go there again, most likely, so if you want to have staff problems cart problems, no tee time from golf now problems, no starter with a clue problems and a course that is "ok" they I would go here, for me if this is the last golf course running I would quit the game

This was my first time playing Cherry Island and I was pleasantly surprised. Not just your typical straight forward valley course with circle greens and two bunkers fronting every green. Definitely had some quirks to it. Course was in pretty good shape (looks like they punched the greens a few weeks ago but were roiling pretty well).

Friendly staff to accommodate the COIV check-in process. Pace of play was a 4 hour round.

Great time golfing. Course was spot on with distancing regulations. Great job.

Some challenging holes.

somewhat slow with need to have single rider carts.

only got to finish 17 holes.

Congrats to course for running a great setup given the virus conditions.

The good--- Played with 3 great guys and we moved quickly through the front nine.

The Bad--- When arriving on the 10th tee whole NEW 4SOME in front of us, not the same group that moved so fast on the front nine. This new foursome looked to be new to the game and scattered their tee shots on the par 3. Took them forever to reach 10th green. Went into manager, and he had no explanation on who the mysterious new foursome was. Due to demeanor of the new group and knowing the pace was going to be slow I left. Manager was tied up and could not question where this new 4some came from.

Granted we are captive audiences with just a handful course open in the Sacramento area, but conditions at Cherry Island are in the 'VERY GOOD' range, and the staff was great. As expected there was chaos around getting carts turned over and reissued (one rider per), but staff did the best job they could.

Made tee time using GolfNow, good price. Course was a little damp from previous days rain but held up fine... fun course, just enough danger to keep it interesting.

The course was good and in good condition. The pace of play was good. The only issue for me and my party was the pricing on food at the bar and grill. It was a little over priced

Good track. The par 3 start on 10 is a bad idea backs up the relaunch. Course is in good condition, the greens are great. The staff is very friendly and checked on us like 4or5 times for pace of play and making sure we had water.

Good track, good fairways, great greens!! Not a fan of the par 3 start on the back as it causes a back up after drinks or food stops. The tee box Mark's need a freshening up to some info signs and layouts of the holes but all around a fun track with great staff.
