Cherry Island Golf Course

Anytime you get a chance to play, it’s just fun in the sun regardless of your score. Today’s pace was exceptionally fast , greens great shape, and overall great. Plus staff was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this course.

ALL PLAYED AT THE SAME LEVEL SO VERY EXCITING AND CHALLENGING. EVERYONE SHARED GREAT SHOTS AND PLAYED WELL. JUST FANTASTIC AND CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK.

Covid 11 am tee time. Course packed.Areas of course not cut to normal length. Greens slower than usual. Overall playable but it’s perfect weather. This golf course should be in perfect condition. The maintenance guys were looking at some irrigation valves. Tees shaggy fairways not mowed. And all the weedy areas along the edges of the course in full bloom.

Have seen this course in better shape routinely.

I usually play in the Bay Area, but after 5 weeks of shelter in place we noticed that Sacramento courses were open so we took it upon ourselves to explore the courses up there that we had never played or heard of. I never knew of this course and now I’m glad I do. The staff does a great job of running things with appropriate social distancing and cleanliness, and everyone there is helpful and friendly.

As for the course the layout is varied and interesting. The tee boxes are good and the greens are in fine shape and run true. I do feel that the fairways are just OK. Not dry or bare mind you, just that it’s all a tad bumpy and uneven, yet playable.

Overall worth it to head there instead of playing the same tracks in Sacramento.

It was a perfect day for golf the course is in excellent shape. Due to COVID0-19 we were able to get separate carts and we played the round in 4 hours. When we finished they needed the carts ASAP. Putting on the greens were tricky got my share of PAR's for the day.

I believe the Staff has done a great job keeping everything clean & reducing touch-points!

Staff was very friendly and the course was in great shape!

First time here and man was the course challenging! But that’s o.k., I like a good challenge, especially when the pace of play was so great!
