one of my favorites. Streams bridges oaks ,a beautiful spot.
it's been a while
GPS that works well has been added. Staff was friendly and competent. Course was in good shapeand well marked.

FOOT GOLF?
FOOT GOLF IS A JOKE, COURSE IS OVERRUN WITH PEOPLE WALKING THROUGH FAIRWAYS TO PLAY FOOT GOLF, AS WE WAITED FOR GOLF SLOW PLAY FOOT GOLFERS WALKED ON AND STOPPED US COLD, VERY DANGEROUS WITH DRUNKS AND KIDS EVERWHERE. NEED TO DECIDE IF ITS GOLF COURSE OR SOCCER, WILL NOT BE BACK
I'm sorry to hear that your round was not all that it could have been. We do what we can to minimize the impact of Footgolf on the course, such as only allowing Footgolf to be played after noon and requiring that they book tee times so that other golfers times are not impacted. Typically, Footgolf is played much faster than regular golf so if you could private message me with the date and time you played, we will be able to find the group and take steps to ensure it does not happen again. excellent course, well maintained. Several holes have narrow fairways with lots of trees that make it quite a challenge.
Glad to here you enjoyed it. Those narrow, tree-lined fairways sure turn what looks like an straight forward course on paper into a difficult one. You're not alone there. Thanks for playing!
Enjoyable
My wife and I always enjoy playing Cherry Island. It is challenging without being too difficult.

Great course.
Staff friendly and helpful. Marshall directed us to skip the 9th hole that was backed up and played the wide open back nine and come back to #9. It was a great chose and we finished in record time.
Excellent! We try to provide friendly service and train our Player Assistants to make the round as enjoyable as possible for as many as possible. Hope to see you out here again soon!
Top shape but the greens?
These greens are magnificent! What a joy to put on them, a few uncared pitch marks by golfers who don't care but these greens are to die for. Worth a play just to put, great job care takers.

A great Outing
We had a very pleasant and relaxing afternoon. no "rush" or" pressure" to speed up our play. We played a comfortable 18 holes in 4hr-5min. the course is in terrific shape and was a lot of fun. I am glad we rode a cart because it was pretty hot outside (97 ) and the wind was minimal. I will re-book another round thru you soon. Thank you , S
It's a great course for beginners.
It's a very challenging course interspersed with water hazards and dog-leg turns. I love the sometimes fast greens and the positioning of the sand traps makes for a great test if skill.
Cherry Island is now Confusion Island
Playing soccer golf and regular golf on the same course causes confusion . There was no signs as to how to get from hole #2 to hole #3 There were several different paths and we tried all of them . When we tried the first one it led to a tee box that had the number 6 so we kept driving the other paths that went to the wrong tee boxes . In reality we found that the big posted sign #6 was really for soccer golf and not regular golf it was frustrating and threw us off of our game the same effect when you have slow players in front of you . I gave it a low rating on course conditions mainly because of all the soccer football set up on the same course as regular golf. On one of the par threes that go over a stream had no drop zone for golfers that hit their tee shot into the stream what we found was two circled areas with a flag for soccer golf. What a mess. Some of the flags on the greens were were thought to be for regular golf but were really for soccer golf. Cherry Island is no longer on my list of courses to play. I did not see any soccer golf players and I imagine if they were playing the same time with regular golfer it would be a safety hazard .

The course is in great shape. The greens are true and roll perfectly. This course is always in great shape and well kept. We could of used a beverage cart ( Memorial Day ).
