Course played well but pace was off
On my first trip to the course I was pleasantly surprised at the condition, but disappointed to be stuck behind multiple groups of 4-5 players who had no clue how to play ready golf. Not necessarily the fault of the course but the Marshall did nothing to speed up play and my twosome was unable to finish the round. Hopefully mine is not the norm and I will return again because the holes I did manage to play were well maintained and fun.
Golf at Mather 2/22/21
Overall course was in pretty good shape from tee to greens.This course is very good if you haven't played in awhile meaning it's very forgiving if you hit and errant shot you can still easily recover.Yes I'll play again it's a great confidence builder.Everyone is very helpful & friendly.
Fast round on a Monday morning
Teed off at 9:10, walked off the course at 12:40. I almost played alone since the starter added the people I was supposed to play with, to the group ahead of me. No big deal though as two other guys showed up. Overall, the course is in decent shape. Greens were fast and fairways were in good shape. They’re doing some repairs in a few places with new sod going down and thin spots on the fairways that could be muddy if wet. All of the par 3 tee boxes are under repair and were unusable. They’ve all been moved up, making for short holes. Otherwise, no complaints! Great round. Very fast pace of play.
Solid Course
Greens in great shape. Looks like some excellent rebuilding of some tee boxes. Very good carts. Best COVID procedures and protocols.
hidden gem
Mather gets overlooked because of location, but it's a great "go to" or weekend with the boys course.
WILL PLAY MORE OFTEN
love the course. just myself since it was about to rain and there were light showers. but finished in less than 4 hours. great time.
Great time but!
It was a beautiful day and I was playing with a great bunch of guys. The only thing was that the owners/company operating the golf course spread extra soil/fertilizer/seed that made it very difficult to play in. I think I took home more mud home than what I dragged on to the golf course with my golf shoes. The sport shop, cantina, and all the people were great. Just don't go and play it two days after the rain. other than that its a beautiful course and you will find it challenging!
