Other than a few tight muddy lies, not uncommon this time of the year, great track for the value.

Course is too muddy with bare spots even in fairways
I usually don’t play Mather in the winter because it doesn’t drain well but there’s been little rain this winter so thought it would be OK but there was fog and low clouds the entire day and the course itself was mostly muddy with very little grass even in the fairways - my shoes were caked in mud.
Staff is friendly and there is good facilities but winter is not good time to play this course. None of the holes had shoe cleaners; this course desperately needed them.

Well maintained, nice gol course in Sacramento area.
This course on the Mather Air Force base, is a jewel. Always in good shape. Very fair. Fun and interesting layout. Relatively flat. Easy to walk, for those who don’t want to take a cart.

Greens are fast!!!
The greens are in great shape. They were fast and rolling true. The food window had all the fixings. It’s an old school track with character. Can’t wait to play again. My one worry is drainage when the rains finally come.
