Too slow
The round took 5 1/2 hours to play with 2 foursomes on each hole, 3 on a few. Please set the t-times 10 minutes apart and have the marshal move the play along or I don't think I will be back anytime soon.

Incredible value + Amazing layout
Rustic Canyon exceeded my high expectations. So many unique holes and so many different shots... and that's before you get to the large undulating greens with run-offs and multiple tiers. The fairways were dry (expected given the cost), but the green complexes and bunkers were in excellent shape. Great views. It was my first time there, but met many regulars who echoed my conclusion that this is a course you can play frequently without getting bored.
Buy the $5 course layout booklet in the proshop if you don't know the course well. It will help big time. It's crazy how little they charge to play here. I've played several other SoCal courses and this one is easily worth $150+

Best Value in SC
I would say this is the best golf course you can play with 50 dollars. They really need to work on pace of play, but given the difficulty of the course, I will take 5-hour round. If you are single handicapper like me, you will love here

Extremely windy day made a difficult course even more challenging. The layout is exceptional and the greens were in great shape. This is a fantastic course in a beautiful natural setting. Even with the high winds it was still a pleasure to play and I highly recommend the course.

Rustic canyon 2/10/21
Just played front 9. It’s was late in the day so it’s very slow. But rustic is still one of the best courses in Southern California for the money.. if you can get a tee time.
It’s winter so fairways aren’t as lush as other times of year but the course is in great shape. Greens very fast and dry.
One of my favorite courses anywhere!

Great course
Tough greens, receptive fairways. Great links style course. However on this particular day, there was a very slow group a few holes or so ahead of us that brought the pace down to it's knees. We had to wait at least 10 to 15 minutes per hole on a few holes.
Marshall should have tried to find who it was and get them either to speed up or get them off the course..
Plenty of people just I'm front of us also contributed to the slowness. Groups on a par 4 were waiting for the other groups to get off the green before teeing off. That's not how it should be. You should be teeing off when the other group is on their way to the green after hitting their second shot.
Sorry but at least 95% of us aren't hitting the green on a par 4 off the tee.
I've never had it so slow.
