Another day at Rustic Canyon
Love the course. Very windy so more difficult than usual. Don't get a chance to play Rustic often so difficult to tell whether it's the wind or terrain on greens. Great practice for how to play in the wind.

Great course for all
As always a great day at one of the best courses in SoCal. I would say come out and play but it’s clear people are. Getting hard to get morning tee times. My favorite course.

Unique course for southern CA
Rustic Canyon is 18 holes of intriguing golf interspersed amid a secluded back country wilderness of native grasses and brush. This course emphasizes wide fairways, forced carries, undulating greens, and lots of opportunities to lose golf balls. Greens were excellent, with huge aprons. Putting was challenging, but fun. The only downside it was upper 90's which wore us down. I would go back on a cooler day.

Still Most Interesting Course in Southern CA
I always love playing here and the conditioning today was about as good as I have ever seen it. Almost a bit too lush as I am used to this being harder and faster. But just in wonderful shape overall. And the design lends itself to being imaginative and creative in how to play the variety of holes. Just think it is the most interesting and most fun place to play in Southern CA.

Wonderful Links Course
Rustic is one of only two great links courses in Southern California. The other is the the north course at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast for $500 a round.
Right now, the course is in great condition. It can get a bit dried out in the summer. The greens are consistently tough and usually fast. Right now, they are a bit slower than usual. The grain has a major impact on puts, so local knowledge is super helpful.
Oh, and the green complexes are second to none!
