Rustic Canyon Golf Course

Didn't get to complete the course as we started at 3:30 but enjoyed every hole. In very good condition but due to walking a few holes were backed up,

This course is a great links style course that increases in difficulty when the wind picks up. Greens are fast and challenging and the diversity in the design makes it enjoyable to play.

Beautifully desgined course. Generous fairways, multi tiered, huge greens and collection areas/ aprons. Most players putt when off the green as grass is short and well kept.

Played with a local who knew the layout well, but still struggled on the greens. Most of time time, putts pulled toward 3rd greeen on East side of course.

Some things can be improved--first time playing. All flags were red , including those in front and very back of greens. It would help to have white and blue flags for traditional mid and back green pin placements.

A marshall is necessary out here, especially for afternoon rounds or weekends. Pace of play should be better than 4 hr 45 min. While we were on of the fee walking, we were usuallt waiting on carts in front of us. Golfers shoukd be given a friendly warning to keep better pace of play, or fall back a hole. Putts out here are not to win the Masters-- players should survey greens while partners are putting.

Not that this would work like it does elsewhere (eg UK), but having golfers produce a maximum handicap sheet of 24 or 30 to the pro shop is reasonable to avoid nonstop criss cross golf.

Would need a dozen rds here to best learn the greeens and areas around the greens.

Was matched up with 3 other guys, all of whom enjoyed the course and the beautiful morning. Played in 4 1/2 hours. Enjoyed being able to walk and play. A challenging course to walk due to elevation changes and maddening greens but still enjoyable. Would definitely come back.

As always a great time playing golf. Rustic does a great job maintaining the course. Keep in mind it’s winter conditions and the course is in great shape. If you want to play a challenging course then come play Rustic. The staff is great. Come out and play.

Rode the blues in 4 hours, fantastic pace on a gorgeous day.. Great price on the hot deal. Booking as usual was fantastic, checkin as usual was simple. Course is in great winter shape. Tee boxes were all level. Fairways are currently dormant and thin, greens were very nice, rolled true. I had no problem checkin balls up. The only negative are the traps as they do have rocks in some. I highly recommend this course for a change of pace and to work different aspects of your game. It’s pure links and when the wind gets going it makes it more difficult. Much better than being in the snow in Ohia.

This has always been a favorite course of mine. Today however I was very disappointed because they no longer offer ANY information on pin placements. It's too difficult a course to have to guess that . I won't be back unless they change it back too at least a colored flag system.

This course is great to play on but there’s always a bottleneck on the 10th 11th and 12th hole A slower pace towards the end. But if you don’t mind slow play at the end I recommend you play it I would

I purchased a round for a 12:30pm tee time. So I checked in 20 minutes before and asked about how long the round would take. They let me know that it may be a little slower than normal due to a tournament that was going on but that the round shouldn’t be more than 4 hours and 30 to 45 minutes. Needless to say that I walked off after a 2 hour 45 minute front 9... that meant that we would be finishing up around 6pm. We would not be finishing because it’s dark before that. I feel that if you should be notified before you purchase the round that you’ll be following a tournament where 90% of the players were walking. The pro shop gave me a business card of the pro shop so that I can call tomorrow and hopefully get a free replay. I came to play 18 holes at a great course, but following a tournament will never happen again. Bummer! We’ll work it out, I’ve got faith in Rustic! Cheers

Played a great round at Rustic today. Was added to a threesome nice guys and good pace. Beautiful day greens slow hamburger great.
