Rustic Canyon Golf Course

Except that it took 5 hours, everything was good. And it was just the one group in front of us, towards the end of the round we could actually see 2 empty holes in front of them. Only one person working so they couldn't hurry those clowns.

Pace of play was turtle pace. Golfers acting like it’s the us open. Dormant fairways make it very difficult to chip.

Always fun playing Rustic. Challenging layout. Greens are in great shape. Traps need some work.

I play lots of courses nationally and found this course to to be simple in layout but challenging to score! Required reading greens based on local mountain and terrain knowledge. I played from the Blue tee box and I walked the course using a push cart (long course!). That is a mistake for a first timer when having to navigate all the other challenges of the course. I was joined by 3 local gentleman who truly helped to explain the nuances of the golf course. I highly recommend and I will be back...using a motorized golf cart next time!

Greens and tea boxes are in great shape. Fairways are dormant but playable. Course is dry but you still get roll on your drives.

I've played Rustic about a dozen times over the past few years, and it never disappoints. It's one of the best public tracks in LA County. A Gill Hanse gem, it's links style greens can be tricky for 1st timers. Conditions are always above average and pace of play is usually pretty good. I've always played from the blue tees, but today I joined 3 seniors on the white tees. It made the course much more playable and the round more enjoyable. I highly recommend this course.

The fairways rolled and rolled. The problem was that the greens did too. You could shoot a good shot into the green and the ball would roll off the them. The greens were hard enough that divots hardly showed. There was no rough around the greens but the greens are undulated, very fast, and very challenging.

As I’ve said before I really love this course. Winter conditions as to be expected but the course as always is in great shape. Such a good layout for most any caliber of golfer. It’s part of our rotation and will continue to be. Come on out and play.

Rustic Canyon is as close in this area of Southern California to afford a True Links test of your game. You need all the shots from forced carries, to bump and run around the greens, which all lean towards the Reagan Presidential Library. You'll enjoy the test, views and value at Rustic Canyon.

Starter made me pay cart fee even though I was walking. Excuse was if you book on GN you have to pay greens fee +cart. I’ve been to many other courses in GN and only charged for greens fee. A little better customer service would go a long way. Last time I book on Rustic Canyon on GN

This was my second time playing this nice challenging course, I have to say it was better than my first time around. The rain may have scared some golfers away, but it only rained for the first 3 holes of my round. Pro shop was great.The pace of play moved along nicely, when we waited it was only momentarily. Course was in good shape, greens were great. Carts with GPS are always a plus, the hot deal was awesome paid less than 20$. Definitely planning on booking another round in the near future.

Fun course in beautiful rustic setting. Challenging, especially the links style greens. Great pace of play.
