About
The Golf Club at Rio Vista is situated at the heart of northern California. With a scenic spot near the Sacramento River Delta, the course is even named after its scenic river view. The river delta meets rolling hills on this tough providing a unique setting equipped with distinctive water features. The skillfully crafted water holes are the trademarks of the design. The design mimics the natural lines carved by the river delta. The fairways are wide open but lengthy and generous greens can also be quite challenging as well. Rio Vista is a golf course that has appeal for players of all skill levels from novices to pros, whether it's the scenery or the diverse layout. Be careful on windy days though, the open course can be especially brutal.

So much improved over the last few years
Rio Vista has improved lots in the last couple of years. Only a few bare spots on just a few holes and otherwise in great shape especially the greens. And it never seems to be too crowded so the pace of play is great.
Nice course
We enjoyed the course, some tricky water holes but overall nicely kept. The greens are very nice
Its made a nice comback
The course is in 100% better shape now than it was 10 years ago… We plan to play it again Soon!!!
Pleasantly surprised
Played here about 6months ago & was disappointed
The course has had significant improvement greens are in very good shape,only a couple of fairways remain troubling

Enjoyed our round to the max! Got paired with two players who resides at Trilogy but they only played the front nine. Definitely will be back! Love the course conditions!
Exciting changes
Played with my bud Anthony yesterday after a long absence. Lots of changes on the course. Positive and profound changes. Will definitely come back sooner! Highly recommend this course!
Fantastically friendly staff, nice layout, good condition
I enjoyed the round of golf. Start time playing, but look forward already for the next round. Met by a very friendly staff, shared the recent history and course layout. The course is in excellent winter condition. Greens were in good condition. The green speed was consistent through the course. Water hazards required a decision off the tee, driver wasn’t always the best choice. I recommend this this course.
It’s All Good Now
Great improvements from years past. Greens were good, fairway has some minimal bare spots but that’s ok for this time of the year. Pace were a tick slow today but wasn’t too bad. Overall, would definitely play again.
I had read so many negative comments about the course through the years up until a few months ago. Decided to make the drive from Sacramento to see for myself. The overall shape is f the course for January was great! There were some bare spots around some greens, but nothing out of the ordinary for winter time.
I met two members who commented about the improvements made on some the front nine. The greens were excellent, fast with lots break. The layout of the course through the housing community is done very well, and I enjoyed the variety of shots I played throughout the round. The bunkers were clean with plenty of sand. (Now if players will just learn to rake after themselves they would really be great.)The pace of play was great, and despite an early frost delay, tee times were only backed up about thirty minutes.
If the course continues to improve on what they have now, word will get out and many more people will be taking the drive out to Rio Vista to play this course.
