About
Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin sits just half an hour from Sacramento but the stunning landscape blanketed with thousands of live oaks feels much more secluded. In addition to the trees, massive granite outcroppings accent the course. It is both a visually stunning and formidable championship layout. The diverse topography is the focus, providing many challenges with the elevation changes and towering trees that line the narrow fairways. The rolling topography helped to determine the placement of the bunkers. Wetlands come into play throughout the golf course, also serving as home to numerous varieties of indigenous wildlife. The golf course finishes with a tough hole, a long par 5 that is flanked by wetlands on both the left and right. Whitney Oaks G.C. also has a practice facility with a 15-station driving range, a putting green, and pitching area.

Bring your A game
Definitly the most difficult course in the Sacramento area. There are many holes where driver off the tee isn’t really an option and you’re often left with a 200+ yard 2nd shot onto the green. An once you’re on the green, good luck. Most green have tough bowls or have multiple tiers- usually with small landing spots. If you enjoy challenge, this is the course to go to.
Great Course
it was cart path only so there was a lot of walking so it made the round alittle slower but overall the course was in good condition.
Hard for the high handicapped
This course is tough for people that don’t want to hit Million dollar houses. And the terrain is never flat. Ball is always above or below your feet. Greens where recently aerated. Hole 11, the whole fairway was recently plugged and aerated, we just bypassed that hole. The bar, food was outstanding and the prop where great, course not so nice.

Whitney Oaks
A beautiful course. Very challenging as most holes are lined with big oak trees. Fairways vary from wide to narrow. Greens are fast and pin placements with the undulations make putting a challenge.

Place has tanked
TVC ruined the place. Live here in the course and you can't get a decent time. Course is overplayed and with 3 high-school and a college taking up every practice slot, every afternoon tee time it's pointless. 5 hour round watching seniors play a place they have no business playing. Over priced trash now. Course used to be in great shape and enjoyable. It's not anymore

Bring balls
I lost a mass amount of balls & this after not losing any my last 2 plays (different courses).
Lots of hills & obstacles, nice markers, easy pathways.
Bathrooms need attention. Love the cart iPad.

Love being a member
The staff are very friendly and I love the challenge of the course. Even being a member and playing WOTC regularly, it never gets boring. The course is usually in great shape. Only gripe is players not fixing their ball marks and/or raking the bunkers.

If you get upset at your game easily don’t play here. This course will try you. This is a fun course to play and will challenge you at anytime. One of my favorites to play

Nice challenging course
Love Whitney Oaks. Staff is friendly, course is in good condition and greens are fast with lots of undulations. Course is very challenging with a great layout. It’s one of the hardest courses in the area so be prepared for high scores LOL.

Worst conditions ever
Absolutely embarrassing course condition. Rock hard, dried out fairways with a mixture of either dormant or dead grass. Hadn’t played here in years and was excited to play again and was completely disappointed. The crew taking care of this course and or management should be ashamed
