About
Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin sits just half an hour from Sacramento but the stunning landscape blanketed with thousands of live oaks feels much more secluded. In addition to the trees, massive granite outcroppings accent the course. It is both a visually stunning and formidable championship layout. The diverse topography is the focus, providing many challenges with the elevation changes and towering trees that line the narrow fairways. The rolling topography helped to determine the placement of the bunkers. Wetlands come into play throughout the golf course, also serving as home to numerous varieties of indigenous wildlife. The golf course finishes with a tough hole, a long par 5 that is flanked by wetlands on both the left and right. Whitney Oaks G.C. also has a practice facility with a 15-station driving range, a putting green, and pitching area.

Challenging course

My #1 golf course in the greater Sacramento area.
Second time playing is better than the first. Totally enjoyable yet giving me some workout. Just perfect course in this spring. I just about ran out of the golf courses within 159 miles or so due to COVID-19 pandemic. And I am so glad that I had the play slots available. There is so much I can appreciate about the course: layout, friendliness and courtesy of the staff, surrounding atmosphere, birds, trees (plenty of them) , ponds, clear blue sky. Thanks again for your conscious and diligent efforts to make our outing great.

Challenging and fun
Booked on golfnow.com for great price. I'm a 25+- handicap and played white t-boxes. Green's in good shape, fairways dry and thin. Very happy with course overall: clean bathrooms, friendly staff and play pace was fast - no waiting. Some narrow fairways and tricky Green's. Scenery is great, lots of wildlife. Course is hilly, can not walk this one.

Whitney Oaks
Whitney Oaks is always challenging, especially on this day due to the windy conditions. It is always in good shape and I continue to play there several times per year.

Nice layout
This was the second time I played I’m just really impressed by the layout.
Greens are really hard to read but well-kept.. The pace of play was on time .

Horrible Pace of Play at Whitney
Played here twice every other Saturday the last month. I love Whitney, but the pace of play is horrible during the past couple Saturdays. 5:15 round. You could see the marshalls, but they do not do anything about this.

Love the course! Takes awhile to figure out the holes. One thing that drove me crazy was the carts! You could be on a cart path and going up hill and the cart would start lurching as if you were out of bounds. It happened to all of us in the foursome and Many many times.

Beautiful course under tough conditions
I have nothing but great things to say about this course.
Extremely well designed, great pace of play, however, the course can be difficult when windy.
I loved the fact that the yardage finders are in the carts; really speeds things up.
The greens are in good shape; the fairs not so much. The really need some serious watering.

Also, liked the fact that they partnered four singles together. Made for a very enjoyable afternoon.
