Woodcreek Golf Club

I am not a picky or elitist golfer. I have known Woodcreek for 25 years. I’ve always been willing to tolerate their very asymmetrical layout with some holes completely cut off and then re-emerging, fairways changing over ravines sideways, blind holes, even after dog-legs, but the greens are just never EVER anything even close to a regulation course green. They were just terrible. Like putting on gravel. It’s unfortunate to be on a par five in regulation, and then have to literally watch your ball, bounce all over the green. And it’s not just an occasional aeration. Throw in dirt patch spots on fairways, even after an onslaught of precipitation last year, and I just can’t think of anything to recommend this course, other than the very nice facility and its people. So I’m sorry for this review.

Greens were punched recently no sand but difficult to putt

Paid $40 to play on greens full of sand. Fairways weren’t even mowed and full of wet spots. Would like my money back if I had paid more attention to aeration sign. My bad.

Beautiful course. Never been somewhere that my whole foursome all lost balls in fairway. Balls continuously disappeared. Price needs to be lower if playing 18 will cost a sleeve of balls no matter how well you play.

After playing here for my first time yesterday, i’m quite upset i didn’t just stick to my regular courses. The first and second hole’s are littered with range balls, making me spend 10 minutes trying to find my ball on both holes. There was a consistent pungent water smell around most holes on the course, and most if not every tee box was basically a sand pit. Oh, and not to mention at least 80% of every hole was on the front of the green, making gameplay very questionable.

Woodcreek could have been better without the slow play and goose/duck droppings everywhere. I would think that, as long as Woodcreek has been around, the groundskeepers would have found a way to clean the countless layers of animal droppings along the fairways and water hazards.

I would also recommend that, on weekends, cart rentals are mandatory due to the large number of golfers. This rule may help with keeping up the pace of play.

I've lived here 5 years and have avoided playing here very often due to poor course conditions, especially fairways and bunkers. Fairways are in the best shape I've seen in 5 years. The bunkers are improving but still remain the biggest course condition disappointment as you never know what you're gonna get. More dirt than sand in most bunkers. Overall it is very playable now and it is a challenging course from the tips, which we like so I expect to play here more often.

For the golfnow hott fee $16 with cart for my buddy and I was worth the 100 plus weather! We teed off at 11:08 and a slow Slug of a group made us finish at 4:28. They had the worst golf ethics of play ever!!!
