Woodcreek Golf Club

Traps needed attention some areas a little ragged in upkeep but fun to play.

Course was soaking wet, no sand in weed covered traps, course is in terrible terrible condition. It seems like they are just letting it go but still charging top dollar.

This was my 3rd time playing here. I thought I’d give it one more chance, but unfortunately all 3 times the course conditions were not worth the green fees. Today was unbelievably wet with standing water on most fairways and several bunkers.

Not sure who to point the finger at … GolfNow or Woodcreek Golf course… but had a family emergency and the 72 hour advance notice policy made us eat the $134. Tried on cancel at 37 hours prior (with in a few hours as our family was sitting in the ER) but no option available, couldn’t even reschedule to another day/time. Would think Woodcreek would have some kind of option, but no! Would think that GolfNow would at least have a better solution for its customers, but no!!! Very disappointing!!!

People- Woodcreek is in real good shape right now and pace of play is great. Had 920 t time and finished right at 1:30. It was HOT today so maybe some people stayed at one which led to fast pace. But I’m here to shake you up and ask you to PLEASE repair your ball marks! Every green I played today had way too many marks that could have been fixed! It’s up to us to help the greens keeper maintain a good playable course and I can see that HE is doing his part- but the players are not! Everyone complains when the greens turn to bumpy and don’t putt true but it’s our fault for not taking care of our damage. And it’s not just one or two marks- it’s 20-30+!!!

So hats off to the crew maintaining the course - but I cannot stress enough that we players need to take a lot more pride in helping do our part to help keep playing conditions good for future rounds.

Get out and play Woodcreek ASAP cause it’s in good shape and the people behind the scenes are doing a great job!

If you played last summer/fall and swore to never play there again, forget your last experience. Everything is in much better condition.

Golf course is in excellent condition. Greens are nice speed, (not too fast, and not too slow), look good, smooth and true with no discoloration. Fairways have green grass on them and sit up nicely.

This is a well played coarse, but the fairways where either soggy in spots or super dry and hard. Tee boxes where used for sure. I would play it again, if I new some of the conditions where better handled on the coarse.

Let’s be honest. The day was gorgeous. A nice breeze was blowing on the perfect 75 degree day and we were playing Golf!! But, I’m noticing some fairways are get chewed up a bit. The greens roll true but there were a ton of pitch marks that no one raised up and some are getting brown grass around them. The fringes of the greens have gotten ratty. I understand being penalized by longer grass when you miss the green but playing out of holes, tuffs of grass surrounded by dirt isn’t much fun. We found ourselves playing winter lift and place rules more than we should in May. Still the course is fun and challenging and I will recommend it to friends. I hope they begin to keep you

Feels like a country club. Enough tricky holes to challenge but not so tough I’m humiliated. Look forward to playing there again soon

I like the layout of this course. There are a few easy holes but most are challenging. Today the course played a little bit harder as the greens were a bit inconsistent and there remains a Fair amount of missing grass, brown spots, very wet spots. It’s frustrating to hit the center of the fairway and lose a ball.

I had a great round at Woodcreek. Our foursome finished in 3 hours and 55 minutes. We never had to wait, and no one ever pushed us from behind. The greens are in outstanding condition. The greens are smooth, consistent, and at a very nice speed (not lightning fast, but reasonably and controllably quick). Best greens in the Sacramento metro area for the average public golfer. I always enjoy the course layout--somewhat challenging, On top of that, I had played and scored BELOW my handicap index by a couple strokes--shot 76 with no mulligans counting.
