South at Admiral Baker Golf Course

Most of the course is in OK condition, but there are a few fairways that, unfortunately, throughout the years have remained without being fixed, such as No. 1, 9, and others. They have huge dry areas where the dirt is hard and you better give yourself a free drop behind them for they are impossible to play it as it lies.

They really have to work on those faults.

Nice people, great bar room food etc. nice views from patio.

Good value for the money. Not difficult course but certainly good enough to knock the rust off.

I'll be playing in tournament later this week and can get a feel of shots I may need. The greens were a little slow and I left several putts just a little short. Always a good time playing this course. The staff and starter are a delight to work with. Overall with all the rain we have had the course is in very good shape.

Played the South in 3 hrs 20 minutes. Not to crowded because of threat of rain. Had slight drizzle on the 17th but nothing more. Always a great time at either of these courses and the guys/gals in pro shop are always easy to work with. With all the recent weather SD has had the course is in amazing shape. See you next time.

Nothing too special about the South course itself, the design is average the conditions vary throughout the year and the greens could be great one month and mediocre the next. But overall the clubhouse and practice facilities are very nice, and the more advanced golfer can play the much nicer and longer North Course.

Admiral Baker provides a great golf experience at a convenient location. The staff were very friendly and helpful which made getting on the course easy and with no delays. They were very organized on a busy day. Overall, this was one of the best courses I’ve played in San Diego.

I will be playing here much more often.

Course was in immaculate condition. From the Fairways to the Greens. Pace of play was great to....

greens are great, some issues in the fairways but that is normal considering the amout of rain we have had.Always treated very well by the staff.

I really like playing either course at Admiral Baker. The South course is a little easier. The place is in very good shape the greens are incredible. Wonderful day with great golf!

Perfect weather conditions and greens were in excellent shape. There are some spots on the fairway that need work but overall very good shape.

It’s a fun short course with no houses to hit and not many places to lose a ball for that matter. The greens are well maintained and soft. unlike most concrete hard greens in San Diego. So if you like boming drives and hitting wedges or half wedges or chips to many of the greens this course is for you. The fairways are not so good and the bunkers could use some work. But hey it’s fun and the pace of play is always good during the week. Cheap beer and food and no tax.

The greens are in excellent shape, but not so the fairways, many dry areas and other with mud.

Other than that, it is an easy and enjoyable course.
