This is a beautiful setting and a difficult "executive" course
I love to play this course because there are many difficult holes to challenge the "better" golfers. The deer have the right of way and add to the charm. The views of the coastal range is usually sharp and clear. The course is well maintained and the pace of play is usually excellent. I played yesterday in just under 3 hours but 31/2 is more typical. For the novice, the fairways are wide and spraying the ball is not too troublesome. For the better golfers, there are 6 par threes that are 170-210 yards. For the real "bombers" the course is too short since all the par 4s are 230-350 yards, with 310 the most typical.
A very nice long executive. Beautiful views and fairly easy playing.
Shorter than Oakmont North (with its par 5s), but much longer than your usual executive course. If anything, it's easy with few challenges. Nevertheless, with its views you can't go wrong - unless you get lost trying to find it. Just know that the entrance is on a side street to the left a little more than a half mile beyond the North course clubhouse. Look for the small green sign pointing the way.
The course is a favorite for the older residents in this retirement community - who often go out in foursomes, so I wouldn't recommend the course if you're in a hurry.
Nice and Relaxing
The short East course is a nice mix of easy and challenging. Perfect for the beginner to intermediate golfer. The greens were as nice as you'll find on a public course.
Great day of golf.
There were four of us in our group and even though there were players aheah of us and behind us, the speed of play was just fine.
It was a beatiful day of gold and this couse is fast becoming my best course to play.
Greens were still a little bumpy.
Good value. A fun little course! The course has a lot of long Par 3's which are well bunkered.
Great little course, great value
I got a fantastic deal for this executive course on GolfNow, and I'm glad I played here. Very well-maintained tee-boxes, fairways, and greens, although there were gale-force winds the day we played, and there were some sticks and leaves covering many of the greens. The course isn't particularly difficult, but it's a great place to practice your short game and gain some confidence in your drives. Recommended!
Nice course, fairly well-maintained, professional staff and overall a good track.
Challenging executive course nestled in amongst a senior living community. This course is pretty well maintained and the greens speed up in the summer to lightning quick. Overall, a very enjoyable course that isn't cheap nor overly expensive. Somewhere in between.
Fun and friendly
Course was well maintained and very fun to play. It's forgiving and a great place to practice on your game.
Great day and good weather conditions. Play speed very good
Over all condtion of fairways very good. Greens were still growing back from areation. A bit bumpy
fun course
This is a very nice interesting course. Lots of challenges and wild life. a good time.
Challenging Executive Course
In great shape, GPS carts work well. Only drawback is the range is at the West Course and a few blocks away.
Always a good round of golf
A great length for an executive course. Generally in good shape. Challenging holes with interesting greens. Not too long for old-timers but challenging around hole with bunkers and sloping greens. Pace is only occasionally slow on weekdays. Never played on weekends. I play Oakmont East often.
Fun Course- You get to hit all of your clubs. Great value
Course needs some work- mostly weather related problems
Lots of break in the greens today. Greens playing slow.
Nice day to play. A little cool, which effects the ball flight. Some areas of the course were still wet from the rains and some hard packed sand in the bunkers making it tricky to get out. Lots of deer out enjoying the day too. I like Oakmont for the wildlife and the nice layout of the course.
Greens & Fairways are in great shape.
The GPS feature on the carts is great. Carts are super clean.
Course condition was fantastic.
Three members of my family played here on New Year's Day. Two of those members have a lot of experience playing various courses around California. One member has played for only 1-1/2 years and has only played on two other courses. All of us found this to be a course which challenged the more experienced players, but didn't overwhelm the less experienced player. The course was beautiful and the people we met were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this course!
Fun Course Layout! Drains well. Green very good.
Pro Shop Manager was very friendly! Course wet but drained well considering the rainy previous few days. Greens were in very good shape and putted true. Great venue to take a new golfer (Length) and course has lots to offer for advanced players. The only negative all day was the "bozo" (Callaway Cap) on the grounds crew who proceeded to run the leaf blower on the 9th forward tee while my wife tried to tee off! She skipped the hole. Those things damage hearing bro.
Fun, challenging little course (Par 63)
Beautiful day before the rain. Course in great condition and plays at good pace. Great deal on Golfnow. Thanks
Best ccondition I have ever seen at this course
Previous experience at this course had always been luke warm. This time the traps were actually raked and greens were exceptional. Big improvement over previous visits.
