Fantastic
the course was narrow snd long. Thr fairways were sorounded by trees and the greens are fair. Love this course will play here again.. nothing more to say.
All good
Knollwood is my home course , I love playing here . The course is well kept , fun to play and the staff out there is great. The only thing I would change is that there used to be a Marshall on the course. I didn’t see one yesterday and we were stuck behind players who did not care at all that there were people waiting on them , caught the mmmmmm stopping to talk multiple times and wasting time which caused us to wait on tee boxes for at least 10 minutes before we tee off. This caused us to have to skip holes to finish . So my only thing here is BRING BACK MARSHALLS
Challenging and with a good course layout
A good course with many elevation changes, dog leg lefts, dog leg rights.
3 Par 5's on the first 4 holes.
Played @ 4:00pm on a Sunday - Walking $26
Good course that requires you to use every club in the bag
Will play again.
I like this course
Near me I have 3 courses that are within a few miles. They are pretty flat, but I love getting in a round anytime I can so being able to play anywhere is fun for me.
I'm not a pro, I'm not a low capper, I'm an average player who shoots in the 90's on average, and have a handicap of 18.
This course for me is very fun. I like the layout, I like the diversity of the holes and I like that the course is kept in relatively good shape.
Pace of play was good and I love that I was able to make the reservation a few days before and get on the course to play.
I can't fault a course if I mess up shots because thats on me.
On the day I went, the range and practice putting greens were closed. So I had to go on the course with no ability to hit balls. It did reflect in my score, but Overall I don't think it affected it that much, but I like to know which swing I brought with so I can adjust for it.
Overall I love this course and will continue to play here because for me its a blast and a nice course to play,
Decent course for the value
Tight, narrow fairways on most holes and the rough is not very well kept. Challenging layout with a few elevation changes and A couple doglegs. Greens were not in great shape. Decent course for value. Stay away from the right rough on #4, managed to get some poison oak.
Wait for a facelift!
Fairways, first cut & greens were horrible! It appeared that no maintenance was done during the pandemic!
Over charged
They course charged me more than what was displayed on golf now
Slowest 18 Holes I’ve Ever Played
My foursome just finished in about 5 hours and 45 minutes. The first 9 was slow in general but the back was slow because of one group. There was never a Marshall in sight.
Never coming back unless it’s an incredibly cheap afternoon round. I’d pay the extra $10-$15 to play at a course that is actually managed any day.
Great Course, but such a long day
I've played this course quite a few times. It's one of my favorites in the area, but pace of play continues to be just horrendous. We teed off about 10 minutes late and took us over two hours to complete 6 holes. My buddy had a work emergency, so that is when we ended up having to leave, but that's just ridiculous. They need to get Marshalls to start enforcing pace of play.
Chronic slow play problems
Unless you are looking to play a 6 hour round, STAY AWAY. If the city allowing fivesomes wasn't bad enough, there is zero marshallling to be seen. Golfers who cannot break 100 standing above shots for five minutes, taking 5 or 6 terrible practice swings, resulting in a 75 yard drive.....offline. I just told my wife to stop me if she ever hears me utter the words, "I'm going to play Knollwood."
Slow Play at Knollwood
While I love the course itself, the time it takes to play at Knollwood you could play two rounds at two different courses. It is unfortunate they allow 5 people to tee off at a time, and do not take that into account with tee times when booking.
We played 2 holes in one hour. TWO holes. Golf should not be played that slow. No matter what.
