Bayou Oaks City Park North Course
About
Golf has been played at City Park since 1902 when the nine-hole New Orleans Golf Club opened. At the time it was one of only 80 golf courses in the country. There were four 18-hole courses at the complex before it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The North Course was rebuilt in 2009 and now there is also a 36-hole mini-golf complex. The course is just over 5,400 yards from the back tees and features water on eight holes. Proper club selection is the key to scoring well on this layout. The golf course is popular among both locals and visitors because it's not only player friendly enough to accommodate all skill levels but its location is also easily accessible from anywhere in New Orleans. The affordable rates make it even more appealing and there's also a 74-stall driving range.

Reviews
Improving
Obviously spending time on improving tee boxes and greens .
Bayou Oaks North Course
Some of the grass around the fairways and greens could be cut a little shorter but for the twilight pricing you can’t beat it !!!
Can be better
The course is an easy layout for beginner golfers but the fairways can be better kept and the the shrubby can make you lose a ball easily. The pace of play is super slow having to stop almost every hole to wait for someone to finish it and it causes a train of people waiting behind.
Best Budget Course in New Orleans
Grabbed the hot deal for this course and it’s easily the best deal in town. The course is an average municipal course, but the rate is perfect for practice.
Beautiful Day
North course is in decent shape! Fairways have grass and were cut. Greens need some work but not bad. Tee box need a little work. Played on Monday so pace was great. Cart girl passed twice!
Tee time isn’t expensive, everything else is
I paid $9 for a tee time at the north course, walking. Great deal for how nice this course can be. (Most) greens were awful, some having massive divots in the fringe, others with weird gaps where grass just doesn’t grow. But for $9 what can you really expect. I arrived 1 hour early to warm up. Last I went, I think it was $10-12 for a medium bucket, which was great value. Now, if you’re going to charge $16 for a medium bucket, you would expect the grass conditions of the hitting range to be, well, grass. Had to choose between warming up on the worn down mats (but they do have a trackman!!) or literal sand with tiny patches of dollarweed grass. I understand the cold front we just went through, but with charging almost $20 for a bucket of balls, you would think they could close the sides down and maybe even level it out so the players could hit on actual grass.
Bayou oaks at city park north course
This course is very forgiving for novice and beginners it is also a great course to walk the only reason I gave a 4 star rating was it was quite wet don’t know if it is like this all the time or just because of the weather we had the last couple weeks but overall I’ll give it a 5 star rating
