Pueblo El Mirage Golf Club
About
The golf course at Pueblo El Mirage Golf Club is a challenging championship length course, but it is still suitable for all skill levels of golfer. The course features lush greens and long, rolling fairways. Lakes create water hazards that come into play on eleven holes. There are also strategically placed sand bunkers throughout the course. The signature hole is the par-4 15th hole, which calls for a start with a straight tee shot to a tight fairway and then a precise approach over water to a tiered green. The Pueblo El Mirage facility offers a driving range and putting green as well as a fully stocked pro shop.

Ok for the price
Very thin grass so greens fast, lots of roll on the fairways
Poor Condition
Played here a dozen times over the years but found this was the worst condition I have seen. Greens no grass. Fairways bad shape or no grass. Play was slow also this day. Won't be back this year.
Bogey free golf
Course is in excellent condition. Greens are fairly true. Course is very player friendly, although there are plenty of challenges to keep your attention. The staff as always are very courteous and friendly. Best bang for the buck this part of the West Valley. Coming back soon!
Not a bad course
A little less plush than some courses but in good condition. Only real problem this time of the year is getting on at the times we like to play. They have a very large resident community and there are a lot of tournaments on the days we like to play. This day they had a couples tournament that started on the back 9 at 9 Am. We teed off at 6:45 on the front and ran into them on hole 11. What had been a fairly fast round turned into waiting several minutes at each tee. The staff (Eric) tried to be as helpful as he could but not much he could do. We will stay away on tournament days.
Good layout, poor condition
Really enjoyed the layout of the course, good mix of holes and challenging enough. Condition was poor, possibly due to overseeding not grown in yet. Price was good, so we enjoyed it.
El Mirage
Better than expected, not a lot of grass but playable. front 9 quick back slower as they let people out on the back as we finished the front.
Bait and switch
I reserved on line with golf now and then called and put on my granddaughter on as youth on the course and the person said great. When we checked in they found my reservation and I told them my granddaughter was youth on the course and a member of the Valley Vista golf team and she said great. I paid and when I checked my receipt I found they charged for both us at the same rate instead of one youth on the course. When I called about it I was told that they no longer support youth on the course so the cost was as charge. We will find somewhere else to play. We play weekly but not here.
Course was in good shape considering over seeding just ended. We got rained out on the 11th hole, but was a great experience. Took my girlfriend there and she’s just learning the game. Good place to start or to test your game. Played from the back tees and offered up some challenges.
Great value
Only average condition but better than last spring. Greens a little heavy. Still great value at $34 compared to other Phoenix courses. Excellent young man in pro shop.
It needs time to recover
We played on the 30th. Recent overseed and greens were choppy as you would expect. Decent value for the money. Several very wet areas (standing water in some spots), but again, expected outcome with recent overseed.
Staff was terrific and pleasant. I'm thinking and not an expert, about a week away for the fairways and a little longer for the greens. Just have the correct expectations with the recent overseed.
Course was just reopened after their overseed. You couldnt tell they iverseeded as the fwys/greens had yellow patches. Dirt spots in fwys/greens. Marshall was rude. Starter (Jeanne) was very pleasant. Shop staff was great. Course conditions didnt warrant $59. Should've been $19.99.
Nice surfaces and value for the money.
Some unique opportunities to use short to long irons and some nice challenges too.
For the money it’s a nice round and chance to work I. all ones skills.
Rough greens
Cart paths are paved to only beyond tee boxes, then turn to dirt or worn down roughs. Greens were bouncy. Yes, this is over-seeding season, but other courses in this area are tended to much better. I was also confronted by a grumpy homeowner for crossing a fairway ... guilty, but the drive in rough directions were confusing and I chose a dry part of the fairway to cross slowly. Golfed with another couple we were grouped with ... they were great, funny and friendly ... thank you M and V.
