Pueblo El Mirage Golf Club
About
The golf course at Pueblo El Mirage Golf Club is a challenging championship length course, but it is still suitable for all skill levels of golfer. The course features lush greens and long, rolling fairways. Lakes create water hazards that come into play on eleven holes. There are also strategically placed sand bunkers throughout the course. The signature hole is the par-4 15th hole, which calls for a start with a straight tee shot to a tight fairway and then a precise approach over water to a tiered green. The Pueblo El Mirage facility offers a driving range and putting green as well as a fully stocked pro shop.

Good course and value
Do not let the practice green fool you - greens on course were in fine condition - yes a few brown patches but they avoided putting the flags near those.
Fairways 90 percent ok, pace of play even starting at 12.30 pm was just over 4 hours.
Fun course pretty easy layout.

Course Review
Course was fairly well kept. Greens were quite fast and the holes were sometimes on a bit of slope. The geese certainly make a mess on the course by leaving their droppings.

Horrible pace and misled by staff
Had a 1:30pm tee time for 18 holes on a Sunday afternoon. When checking in at the pro shop, they immediately said they were running a full 30 minutes behind schedule. I asked if we could get a rain check if we didn’t get the round done, which they said they wouldn’t do and that we would “have plenty of time to finish”. Took us 3 FULL HOURS to finish the front 9, waiting behind 2-3 groups at every tee box. Course conditions were OK, some greens and fairways had big dead spots.

Course condition was Fair
Upon arrival we noticed above average attendance at the course. We were NOT told at check in there was a tournament going on and our tee time ended up delayed an hour.
Staff needs a lesson on how to treat public players.
Will I return….probably not.

Slow Play
We waited for almost every shot from tee to green, and we were not long hitters at all. As a matter of fact, we were relatively short hitters.

Quality appropriate for the cost
We got our tee time at rather low rate but in hindsight the course conditions were appropriate for the green fee.
