Desert Canyon Golf Club

Course had just come out of over seed. It was beautiful, played well, and was challenging. Only negative, it was tough doing so much up and down walking. Will play again when it’s not cart path only.

Course was in excellent condition. I think they need to implement 45 degree rule this time of year with the golf carts instead of cart path only. Slows the pace of play down cart path only. Other than that no complaints.

Glad my wife and I played the course although it was still recovering from over seeding so the greens were still fuzzy and slow.

We were lucky to be paired with 2 other players that had played the course before and helped with their course knowledge, Lots of elevation changes so bring a laser rangefinder with slope! Very friendly staff let us know that there were temporary bathroom facilities on the front nine and lack of water stations due to some on course remodeling. Well worth the drive to Fountain Valley.

Course with lot of ondulation. Staff was fine. Course design is different, but playable. But turf condition was not as its best.

If you can stop gawking long enough to actually play the game, your in for a test. Great condition! Great layout. One of my favs.

Was very disappointed when I walk on the green. Newly punched holes and light sand turned me off. This is not what I signed for in a 100f day.

Please let your player know ahead of time that course is in maintenance mode.

The staff was nice and the course was in great shape for August in the desert. The course has a lot of blind shots which made it more difficult. We never had to wait on the tee box and the speed of play was excellent. Overall we had an enjoyable round.

It was a fun course. Well laid out in good shape. Challenging but not horribly difficult. The greens were slow because of maintenance, and I imagine if they were fast it would’ve been much more challenging. Price was good for the area but like all of the east valley overpriced for august

My only complaint was the golf cart which I nicknamed R2-D2. In my opinion golf carts should be seen and not heard, and having it give me incessant beeps and comments about everything “slow down, stay on cart path, don’t go downhill, go on the left side of green, tuck in your shirt, comb your hair,” got really old after a while. I really dislike it when golf cart shuts down because you go two feet off the cart path.

Other than the micromanaging golf cart, it was a good experience. When I returned about 4 PM the pro shop was closed which was a surprise.
