Long distance to the 1st and 5th tees
We started on the West course and finished on the North course. The distance to the first tee must be a mile on a gravel road from the club house to the 1st tee; ridiculous when walking. The same goes from the 4th green to the 5th tees, ridiculous.
The North course is great, nicely maintained and will marked yardage posts unlike the West course.
Way overpriced for the conditions
Kinda a tale of 2 9’s today. The front 9 is in horrible condition. Appears they’re getting ready to overseed, so they’ve just completely let it go. Fairways are rock hard and the “greens” are bad. The back 9 was in much better condition. The greens were very slow though. Once overseeding is complete, I’d like to think it’ll be better. I don’t think it’s worth $40 right now. Wait a few weeks.
Great course
Great course layout nice greens and fairways would love to play here again we played the north and south course very friendly and helpful staff
Greens better than Fairways
Summer in the desert beats up a golf course. But when ur claiming to be and above average establishment, the fairways should not be as brown as they were today. My recommendation is based on price. If u can get the price < $25, I recommend.
Pro Shop man was a good dude. Give him a raise.
Great experience
We are in town visiting and used golf now to find a course near our vicinity... The course was absolutely fabulous even though a little challenging..the staff was extremely friendly and attentive!
The gallery
on hole number 6 South there were these two nesting Birds cheering us on they were our gallery or they were trying to get us to go to away LOL
Fun new nine
I played the new West Course on Friday and enjoyed my round. The greens are still very soft but roll nicely.
The layout is odd to me tho, seems they could have used the space better. There are great distances between tee boxes and greens and it is noticeable.
Also the tee time does not indicate that it is only nine holes and it was not until checking in the second time I played it that I learned my back nine is on the north course..first time I just replayed the nine because there was no instruction and the west course is so far separated that there is no one to advise. Obviously this is on me and they could have set me straight but that info could be clearer upfront. Overall love everyone at Palm Valley, always a good choice for the west side
Fun Course
Played the West and North courses for the first time. A wonderful experience . Clubhouse staff were welcoming and helpful. The West Course was a nice challenge and set up very well. Conditions were excellent, and will definitely return
West North
We were a foursome. The west 9 was our intro to this facility, and it clearly has some growing in to do, and we were not quite sure of the direction of play off of some tees, so we played the first 4 holes twice! On purpose, just because! The West 9 looks wide open, but position and distance control are key to scoring.
The North 9 was next, and it was a fun, mature layout, with cool driving strategy, some nice elevation change, and variety of distances. Play was very fast, and we finished our n exactly 4 hours for 22 holes.
Overall, we appreciated the practice range, chipping areas and huge putting green to warm up.
A special mention to the pro shop guy, who was super nice and welcoming.
Thanks Palm Valley!
Great course
Very pleased with Palm Valley golf course. I play the South course and the West course both in excellent condition greens are excellent.
South & West
Have played old alignment several times, first time playing West 9. Course was in good shape, greens excellent. Really enjoyed the West, except the cross country trip to & from the clubhouse. The bunkers & green areas were really well thought out, very interesting holes. Definitely play it again.
Great time!
We had a great time! Staff was very friendly. We played the West and North courses and enjoyed our round!
Nice finishing round
We were flying out at 1 o'clock and wanted to get a final round in before returning to Cleveland. We got teamed up with 2 great guys from San Diego and ventured off on our journey. Course was in great condition fairways to greens. On every hole is waste area so fairways are a premium. The only drawback is from what the other guys said the bunkers need sand. They were rock hard. Other than that I will return someday to play Plam Valley again.
Hidden Gem
Palm Valley Golf Club was in great shape with fast greens, challenging for all skill levels I played the North/South courses from the gold tees and I can’t wait to get back and play again!
New West course amazing
I just golfed the new west 9, I have always loved this course, but the new addition is amazing, plush, greens pretty smooth and top quality course. The rate of play was really slow. Too many people who were unable to play this style of golf, Beginner stay away. All they need to do is fix up the desert areas on the northern 9 to make it have more quality to the eye. If they had better parking, larger clubhouse they could charge more. This is a Scottsdale style course on the west side. Thank you Phil Mickelson for adding quality’s to the west side of the valley.
Glad to have found this course
We golf several courses during our winter stay and this is a place we will return to for sure. Palm Valley has been changed to three nine hole courses now called The North, South and West. Very friendly staff who assign which combination of courses you play when you get there. We played the North and South. Palm Valley has great practice facilities so we were able to loosen up prior to play. The courses were beautifully manicured with lots of small hills as well as desert areas. There are also lots of large trees alongside the fairways on some holes. Challenging but also manageable. The whole track is through a large subdivision therefore requires driving fairly long distances to the next tee boxes, sometimes under roadways. We played with some locals who were very helpful in telling us how the holes were layed out. The greens are large, very quick and undulating so definitely provide entertaining challenges. A very good afternoon.
Not in golf play conditions
Course had been cut up the day before. The greens were thick and slow. Was to tee off at 738 am. Did not get out until 8 am. Pace of play was slow. Overall was not worth the $30. Course should not have been open for play.
