Palm Valley Golf Club - North/South

No service on front nine. Not a major issue but would have been nice.

Greens are good and fast. Bunkers have no sand and are not up to the pice standard.

It's nice to play a course with out the houses lining a skinny fairway. This course requires some carry and accuracy over the desert areas and would be tough for beginner golfers.

The west course is a bit beat up, green is rough..a lot of area is bare spot. Hole to hole is far away..

Great course, wives played forward tees and was great for the course length. Rented new Calaway clubs, staff was excellent. Will be back

Working on a GC I know how important the friendliness of the staff can be. No matter how the course plays it's the staff who makes the experience. Palm Valleys staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful and the course was really fun to play. The way the course lays out you can't see a lot of holes at one time so the golfer has a feeling as if you are playing a course with almost no one else on is so it doesn't seem like someone is pushing you from behind or that there are a lot of players in front. Fun course to play and the staff makes it en evmore fun!

This was a great place to play golf! The fairways and tees were lush with grass (not too tall to give flyers), and the greens were very quick. Maybe 11.5 or 12. The staff both in and outside the pro shop was first rate. The practice putting green is huge! And just as good as the greens on the course. The driving range consists of excellent soft mats, and artificial “real” grass to practice shots from rough. The balls were in excellent condition. We completed 18 holes in well under four hours. They have multiple tee boxes, including a “combo” set. We had a great experience there.

The course is well maintained, but it was a challenge for me (16 handicap). The Staff were all very nice and helpful. Another nice round at an ACRIS course.

I’ll start by saying the staff are amazing. Super friendly and helpful, but that is where the compliments end. The course is overpriced and not in very good condition. Would probably be better suited as a $40-50 round as opposed to $100+. I’m also not a fan of the layout but that is a personal preference. We were waiting on every hole and the front 9 took 3 hours to complete. When we made the turn and saw that the 2 groups IN FRONT of us were still waiting to tee off that was the final straw. The course did give us a partial refund, again see comments above about the amazing staff, so that is good. For the money go up the street to Wigwam.

What a good deal for the money! Enjoyed the course. Greens rolled fast (like we prefer) and held a deserving shot. Definitely we would return !

Played the North/west courses at palm valley. This was our first time playing here so like you are, I found myself reading reviews about this place, some good some bad, the good are the fairways and greens are in fairly good shape if you hit it straight you will find a good grass, if you are not a straight hitter you will not find good grass. Remember this course is in AZ, a desert.

The bad, round took 5 1/2 hours because it was cart path only, there was some rain the previous day, so I understand this. There were no staff checking on the condition of the course throughout the day by 1pm the course was dry to drive on. This would have solved some of the delay issues. One number one on the west course it’s a blind shot dog leg left, bigger hitters can cut the corner and take off a lot of the hole, well don’t because there’s a lake you cannot see and the marshal will be to busy telling jokes to the group on deck. Now I will blame our group as we could have looked at a map, but marshals could help. Now after taking 2 hours to play 3 holes on the north course, the marshal drove up to us after watching the group infront fish more than one ball out of the water with a nine foot pole rather than play golf, and asked how it was going we told him slow and about how we’ve played 3 holes in 2 hours. His response was that’s what happens when we get 240 golfers. If your looking to play this course and do something after like grab drinks or grab dinner, don’t play here. You will end up at jack in the box because it will be the only 24 hr place still open. For 167$ it’s highway robbery, espically when they allow people to tee of at 2 or 3 o’clock. Our tee time was 1238 and we were putting at dusk on 18. If you took time to read this, spend the extra 20, 30, 40 $ go to a known big course in the valley and have a good time, will these we’ll known courses be packed and busy, yes, but these courses take pride in their business and will ensure you have a good time, unlike Palm valley.
