About
Golf Club of Estrella is the very first golf course on a daily-fee basis to be designed by Jack Nicklaus II in Phoenix, where it makes its home in the master-planned community Estrella, and offers 18 holes of par-72 championship golf over 7,102 unique yards. The many tests of the golf course will impress every level of golfer - though a choice of tee sets ensures no one will get in over his or her head. Desert and wash spaces require golfers to vary their shots while they take in vistas from the fairways shaped to the contour of the land and framed in the Sierra Estrella Mountains.
A round of golf at the Golf Club Estrella kicks off on Morning Star, a par 4 that measures 359 yards from the black tees. If you stick to the black tees, you'll need to conserve your energy for The Arroyo, the 16th hole, a par 5 that measures 605 yards. After that, Evening Star, the 18th hole, will be a relative breeze, at par 4 and just 437 yards from the black teees.
Once the round of golf at the Golf Club of Estrella is over, head back to the Player's Grill Restaurant for American pub fare and Southwestern snacks.

Golfer Reviews
Winter golf
Generous landing areas in the fairways. Forced carries on par fives and into greens make for a challenging and interesting experience.
Dismayed
We drove about 45 minutes across town to play this course. Once we arrived, we and a few others were told there was a 15 minute frost delay. Once we paid, then we found out it was 50 minutes. This wasn't just our group hearing 15 minutes, other groups heard them say that. I feel they said 15 minutes so we would pay first, then be stuck playing. Not blaming them at all for the frost delay itself, just the terrible communication.
Obviosuly as a result of the delay, it was backed up terribly. The course was ok at best. The staff didn't seem to care for us young folks to be there. I'm 43 and felt out of place! Won't be coming back.
Dusk finish
Always enjoy this course when the price is right. Had a 1:41 tee time and barely got finished, so any later you might not finish. Course was in nice shape except for the sand traps due to the recent rain. A few wet spots on the course as well.
Just crap
I wouldn’t pay $50 to play it . We were paired with another twosome, also their 1st time playing it,,, they were very disappointed as well
Great cousrse
This a great course and clubhouse staff was awesome. Would love to play it again.
The only downfall was a starter that was very unprofessional. Made the start of our round very unpleasant for us and the 2 other golfers that got paired with us..
Loved Estrella!
Great, fun course!
Estrella Golf
This is my home course as I live a few blocks away. I try to play here as often as possible. The course is one of the best layouts in the area and is usually in top shape. It is a real value when you can get a tee off discount. Would recommend this course to anyone looking to play in this area
Confusing
I’m one of those golfers that doesn’t have a gps. There were no distance markers on the course and the sprinkler heads when you could find them em were grown over and unreadable without getting on your hands and knees and even then not clear.
A course like this ought to have gps on the carts. If you don’t have a range finder I would advise not playing here.
Excellent Course…
Excellent course with a great layout. Tee times spaced out so the pace of play is great. Only downfall was that it was path only. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for that. Fairways were in excellent shape and were definitely good to go for carts.
