Wigwam Resort - Blue Course
About
The Wigwam Resort possesses three 18-hole courses, the Blue Course, the Red Course, and the Gold Course. All three courses were built on a rolling terrain with mature creeks sprinkled throughout and meandering creeks running through, which can all affect shots. The Blue Course is the shortest of the three courses but Blue plays long due to the elevated greens. The creeks create water hazards that come into play on several holes and there are also many strategically placed sand bunkers throughout the course as well. The Wigwam Resort facility has various practice facilities including a chipping area and putting green.

Overpriced for Condition
Staff and facilities were top notch. We played the Blue course and was pretty disappointed. Large areas of grass in the fairways and around greens were thin. Almost like hitting off hard packed dirt. Many wedge shots from 100-135 yards on crazy tight lies. Sand traps were hit and miss. Some were super low on sand in middle which made difficult bunker shots. We paid $100 for the round and considering the conditions it was not a good value. I have played many other courses in the area for less money and considerably better condition. I don’t know about the Gold or Red course, but don’t waste your money on the Blue course.
Just ok
To start off, staff was awesome, facilities are top notch. No complaints here. However, the Blue course was less than impressive. Definitely not worth $100. Fairways and around greens had large areas of thin grass… almost bare. The course was super wet which made chip shots very difficult. I played course in the area for less money in far better shape. I will say the greens were pretty good. I would not recommend this course for $100.
Enjoyable day at Wigwam Blue
Great property with 3 well maintained courses and excellent facilities.
A bit of an odd parking/check-in setup with the parking lot across the road and limited signage but we figured it out. Blue course was wide open the day we played and very forgiving off the tee for the most part. Challenge comes around the tiny, elevated greens which are defended handily by deep bunkers and crested edges, pulling marginal approach shots off onto the fringe.
Only complaint would be the layout, which is also confusing for first time visitors. The Blue course does not come anywhere near the clubhouse at the turn, and a few of the holes backtrack to the next tee and/or overlap the Gold course. Again, signage could be better.
Overall a great day at Wigwam. Will definitely be back!
Wigwam blue course
The course was nice. The starter warned us about elevated greens, usually protected by sand. Pace of play was outstanding--4:00 exactly on a Friday, starting at 10:50am. Not much variety in the hole-to-hole layout--most had a dogleg, and the aforementioned elevated, protected green. The negatives were the sand (very hard, causing all of our clubs to bounce rather than cut through), and the price. Even a Hot Deal made it $30 more expensive than other area courses I've played (Coldwater, Palm Valley), and it wasn't worth the extra $30. With so many options, that is the reason I wouldn't recommend it to friends. Nice course, and challenging, but if there's that much sand, it has to be more playable.
Golf cart was under charged and dirty. Very average layout. Then Red’s was quite unfriendly! I’m totally not a complainer but this brought out the worst in me. The value was very marginal..
Very nice course
A fun and fair course, the course was in great shape. Enjoyed my round and will definitely play this course again.
West Valley Gem
I really enjoy playing the Wigwam courses, they are very well maintained. Indoor staff was very friendly! The starter was non communicative unless you ask him a question and actually he did not have an answer about what tee box to use for our level of play.
Beautiful course, nice facilities and very nice staff. The course as very busy and pace slow, but expected this time of year. The fairways and greens were in good condition, and greens quite challenging. Bunker sand was good and well maintained. Very enjoyable place to play, and I’m be coming back! Thank you
