Wigwam Resort - Red Course
About
The Red Course (formerly known as Heritage Course) at the Wigwam Resort, which has received acclaim from Golf Magazine, is one of three 18-hole courses at the resort. Built on rolling terrain, the course features elevation changes that can affect shots. Mature trees are also scattered throughout to add beauty and another challenging element. Winding creeks form water hazards that come into play on a few holes. The Red Course is popular among locals familiar with the Wigwam Resort because it is considered to have the three best finishing holes in the area. Although walking is allowed on the other two courses, carts are required on the Red Course.

Good Course
For the time of year, course was in great condition two weeks after opening post over seeding. Greens were a little slow but rolled true. Some very long par 4's and 5's even from the Orange Club tees. Hole 18 is difficult.
Prepare to wait…
$50 on a weekday afternoon 2 weeks after overseed? Okay.
What doesn’t make sense why It takes almost 2 and a half hours to play 9. No Marshall, groups playing two tee times behind pace, while also playing tees their handicaps don’t match…To top it off, golf now says 90 degree, pro shop says 90degree, but the starter insists you play cart path only.
Quit after 9, went to the pro shop and let the people behind the desk know what’s going on and all I got was “yeah it’s been like that lately man”
Need to work on your operational excellence Wigwam
Wigwam red
Open fairways but deceiving hard course. Some long holes. Bunkers are hard sand and not easy to hit out of. We played 2 days after opening after top seeding so course conditions were what you would expect. Enjoyed our day
Very dissatisfied
Specifically says 90 degree rule on course listing in Golf Now. At the first tee we were told cart path only. When we said it said 90 degree on Golf Now the ranger laughed at us and just shook his head. Would not have played here if we knew this since it was 90 degrees out.
Wigwam Red course.
Started my round early morning and finished in about 3 hours. Had a great time. The greens were a little slow but the condition of the course was great. Will play this course again.
Wigwam Red
The course was in great condition. The pace of play was great until we got to the back nine then it slowed down to a crawl. However, we really enjoy the course and will definitely play it again soon.
Grass overgrown
2nd cut grass not cut, u will lose ball it is so high. Fairways still have cutting
Play it!
A very enjoyable place to play the game, even on a hot day. Nice condition, good poeple and a cool #19
Fun course that is unlike most AZ courses.
Fun course with lots of trees and basically no dessert. Greens are smooth but slow right now. Still needs a couple weeks to get fast again, as you can still see small holes on the greens. Bunkers are very thin. Rest if course is in great shape.

Thank you for your review and we apologize that you did not enjoy your experience. We did make golfnow aware of our cart path only restrictions due to overseeding and when checking the site, it does show that we are cart path only on the payment screen and prior to making payment. When we are off the paths and back to a 90 degree rule, we will also make sure that is posted. Thank You.
