About

The Red Course (formerly known as Heritage Course) at the Wigwam Resort, which has received acclaim from Golf Magazine, is one of three 18-hole courses at the resort. Built on rolling terrain, the course features elevation changes that can affect shots. Mature trees are also scattered throughout to add beauty and another challenging element. Winding creeks form water hazards that come into play on a few holes. The Red Course is popular among locals familiar with the Wigwam Resort because it is considered to have the three best finishing holes in the area. Although walking is allowed on the other two courses, carts are required on the Red Course.

My favorite of the 3

I’ve always enjoyed playing the Red course because I like the layout. Bunkers could use some fluffy sand…or, just sand. Everything else was good and the cart girl (Tiffany) did a GREAT job. She stopped by 3 times during our round. I’ll be back.

Great warmup course before you play the gold course. Course was in great shape & crazy, fun pins but I think they had a junior tournament going too. Definitely play again.

Wonderfully kept course, with exception of the sand traps. Basically no sand in them, but that is minimal and tough to criticize when playing on such beautiful fairways and greens! Highly recommend!

The Red course was shorter but still challenging long par 3’s . Ball placement is important and almost every green is sloped with the pins on the slops .. but still enjoyed the round..

Good value

Course in good shape.

Only complaints:

Traps were very hard. I actually hit one and the ball bounced 10 feet in the air out of the green like concrete. Got used to playing them.

Bar cart selection was very small, didn’t have much.

Played WigWam a bunch of times and will be back, it’s really the amenities after golf that are tough to beat.

Great Phoenix Course

First time playing this course ( Red) and it was in excellent shape. So far one of the best condition courses in Phoenix and I have played all over the past 2 weeks. . Greens excellent condition and very nice layout of the holes, with fairways that have thick grass instead of bare spots. Will play again here and I had to drive 45min but it was worth it.
