About
The Gold Course is one of three 18-hole courses offered at the Wigwam Resort, which was named one of Golf Magazine's "Silver Medal Resorts." Golf Digest cited the Gold Course as one of the best public courses in the state. Mature trees are present on all of the courses, as well as winding creeks that create water hazards, which come into play on several holes. There are also strategically placed sand bunkers present on the course. The rolling landscape of the course causes elevation changes that can affect shots. The Wigwam Resort facility also has a putting green and chipping area.

Good Times
Pace of play was perfect, weather and course conditions were awesome. I’ll be back!
Greens were Nice, but....
The greens were nice (especially for summer), but on most of the fairways the grass was cut very short with lots of barren areas.
Great value
Really enjoyed playing here. Tee boxes and fairways were in good to great condition considering the extreme heat of the Arizona summer. 7/9 the temp was 100 when i left the course at 10:45. The greens were also in good shape. The layout is close quarters. Holes run side by side so you need to be aware of your poximities to tee boxes and the possibility of catching an inexperienced golfers errant tee shot. Very enjoyable morning of golf.
Absolute dump
This place was a complete dump. Pace of play was super slow. Terrible grass on the greens and fairways. Super sandy and slow greens. For the price we paid i thought it would be in way better shape. First and last time here.
Cliche Course
I had a dispute with another group about pace of play, I decided that the course wasn't worth the time or money to play a round next to insufferable people. The facility is dated, while the course was in top condition, the layout is dated and not challenging.
I'm sure my experience is limited, yet the course isn't worth the effort with so many other top notch facilities in the area.
Fantastic venue
This is a must play. Making this our new home course.
Good looooooong outing
Course was in good shape. Played the champion/club combo so decent yardage. The staff was friendly. The round was a grueling solid 5hrs. Because of that I was ready to leave after the 14th but stuck it out. Overall, I had a good time and enjoyed the course.
Fun time on the Gold Course
Gold course was a tough challenge in very breezy conditions. Course knowledge is very important. Design is excellent, turf condition was very good, and greens were large with subtle breaks. Bunkers were inconsistent.
