Wigwam Resort - Gold Course

I expect more from the Gold course at the Wigwam. Many bare spots in fairways and on greens. Lakes very low and no putting greens open. Staff very friendly, but did not give us any warning of course conditions. Also, many bushes and trees in need of trimming. Very disappointed in condition and hope improvements are made this summer.

Great layout. Caught the course before the bermuda grass kicked in, so it is in transition. It will be nicer in a few weeks.

For being highiy recommended it was very disappointing. The fairways were without much grass and the greens were extremely slow. The rough was also very poor.

Great course. But don't forget any of your belongings. Played in the middle of may, forgot my $200 range finder in the cart. Called a week later when I had realized that I had forgotten it talked to a staff member that said they had it and took down my name and number: decided not to go pick it up because I knew in a few days I would be back to play. Show up for my round and my range finder is nowhere to be found and I was told "well someone else must have had one the same color." I get it's my fault for leaving it but when one person tells me it's there and another tells me I'm out of luck is disappointing.

Wigwam staff and amenities are superb, but Gold course was very disappointing. This is supposed to be the championship course of the 3 on the property. Several of the greens had bare spots and we're not in the hottest part of the year yet.

The course was not in good shape at all for resort setting and not well for tournament conditions. The fairways are too dry and muddy with the greens to dry fast and muddy sand traps in excellent shape as always but kind of disappointing,

Great golf course designer, but fairways in rough shape(very thin) Good sand in traps, Not a desert course, which is a nice change. Friendly staff and pace of play was good.

I usually play the gold course 4 or 5 times a year, but it is in really bad condition right now. No grass in the fairways, greens very burned out.

Fairways were more dirt than grass. Clubhouse said they are transitioning from rye to Bermuda. The dirt in all the fairways was prevalent. Tee boxes were in poor shape, no excuse. Sand trap fabric showing through.

The fairways were close to bold in numberous spots.

Course conditions were very poor. Standing water everywhere, ball picked up mud on every hole. A lot of greens had hardly any grass, lots of dead spots. Very disappointing conditions.

greens weren't the best ....very slow and some not good at all

Just a shame at the conditions of the greens especially on the front nine when your paying full freight charges.
