Longbow Golf Club

This course is in overall good condition and it is much more affordable than similar courses in the PHX area. I almost got 36 in for around $100. Greens are firm and quick. The desert landscape forces you to hit it straight, as its not very playable. If the driver isn't working, you'll blow up.

Conditions were good. Lots of interesting holes. There was a line to warm up at the range; a little disappointing. Some improved cart path directions would be helpful; would be easy to get lost if I hadn't of played with a veteran.

Hi handicappers need not be afraid if playing vacation golf. Holes are forgiving off the tees but bunkers are relentless and deep. Super fast but impeccable greens. Staff was very good.

played in late April, ground is firm which is OK on fairways, but had a tough time getting ball to check up on greens...which is touchy since many of the greens are guarded by sand traps that you have to carry. Would play a little easier under softer conditions.

But it was a great challenge, loved the course...would definitely play it again.

Weather for an afternoon nine holes and was delighted by every aspect of this course. The property is immaculately maintained and I got great value.

In that weird time of year where courses have stopped caring about course conditions for us locals but still have the snowbird prices.

Tee boxes fine, fairways are starting to burn out and some pretty tight lies, greens were actually pretty good but really fast (difficult).

Biggest complaint were the bunkers, specifically the sand. Typically you find no sand in bunkers in the Phoenix area, but these were filled with A LOT of beach sand. I don’t know what kind of sand is appropriate for bunkers but this wasn’t it. Maybe this was cheaper or something, but I’ve never seen that kind of sand used before. Had a ball that wasn’t just plugged, but completely buried.

I’ll wait until the temps come up and the prices come down before playing again.

This course is in great shape. Very challenging course. staff is friendly, golf range in great shape, GPS in golf carts, tee boxes are in great shape. Greens are in pretty good shape. Very fast so I recommend hit in front of pin unless you have that wicked back spin. This course will require your driver to come out often. Only hindrance I have was the constant planes flying over due to the airport nearby but besides that. I would definitely recommend this course.

Very challenging but also rewarding for great shots.

consistently very nice course. Challenging yet not "tricked up". Staffed well, nice practice area.

greens were running at 12 which was nice. What wasn't as nice was trying to hold the greens on approach shots. Even spinning 58 degree wedges from 100 yds were bouncing long on some greens. With gusting winds it proved a fun challenge.

The course is beautiful. I enjoyed every hole. There were a couple holes that seemed like the same layout, but overall challenging. FAST greens. Hard to hold a ball on the green with approach shot. Best to shoot short of the pin.
