Longbow Golf Club

From the start, the cart man was courteous and helpful. He was careful to explain the pairings and my options. The course was in great shape even if my game was not.

Longbow is a visually interesting yet punishing layout, especially from the tips. More attention could have been given in this design to fairway landing areas and occasional forgiveness in green complexes. From the tips it’s a rating of 72.9 (on a Par 71) that can play much harder, especially with any east wind (5 of the 9 holes on the Back 9 go east). The views of Red Mountain are spectacular. The front 9 is much more enjoyable (and reasonable) than the back. One frustrating feature is that you go 14 holes between Par 5s - I’m not sure I’ve ever seen that kind of gap.

The greens are excellent and roll true. The surfaces are the best feature of this course.

I found the pro shop staff to be incredibly disinterested and unhelpful. After taking my money, they gave me no direction as to where to head with my clubs or how to get range balls. They were also unhelpful in resolving an issue with my assigned cart, which had been taken by someone else in my group.

We saw the beverage cart twice on the front 9 but only once on the back 9, and not after hole 11. When the pace of play reached a standstill twice on the back, we really could have used a beer, but the cart was nowhere to be seen. Pace of play ended up being almost 4:30. Unacceptable and the rangers we saw did nothing to move play along. This course is simply too difficult off the tee for most of the people who play it.

Brought three friends to play and everyone had fun. The course was in good shape.

The course was in great shape. The greens are firm and rolling faster, but still a bit slower than optimal. Tough to hold these greens unless you are a super spinner. Beware of the bunkers, there in no sand, just packed dirt. That was the only negative.

Course is a big sigh. Copy paper score card is cheap. Not coming back.

For $100 to play, there are courses with faster greens. And riding w a stranger during covid is just dumb on the courses part.

Very nice course..

I used the 3 wood more than the driver because of the light/ waste area just outside of the fairways.

Challenging course that requires local knowledge.

Many bunkers, fairway and green side, seemed like they were more wet dirt than sand.

Greens were large enough to miss and still have a up and down chance.

My only pet peeve is that that were too many ball marks on the greens, which isn’t the courses fault, but I’d wish golfers would fix theirs and 2 more to make it nicer for all

This was probably the best shape I've seen Longbow in. I'm a resident and have played here many times. 4:15 pace and great overall course conditions

True! Handicapped players should be able to play 90 deg.

I have a bad knee. It was cart pass only. Wish I had been told when booking the round.

Just coming out of overseed but overall in good condition. Lots of good golf holes.

Cart person rude. I asked him to not do something and he wouldn't listen. In a time of social distancing, if I ask you to not touch my clubs, DON'T TOUCH MY CLUBS!!! Pro shop was also rude and uncaring about my situation!! Don't waste your money here, too many nice courses close by with caring, nicer staff.

Got to the course, went inside and paid, went to number one tee box and was informed that it was cart path only. One of our players is fused on ninety percent of his back and struggles to walk long distance. We were instructed that there's no exceptions!. Why is it so difficult to warn players on GolfNow or in the pro shop that there are restrictions? Course is it nice course but I will never return! There are too many options with other courses to at least warn us of restrictions. Is this course so hard up for money that they forget courtesy and customer service?

Course was in very good shape. Played in 4 hours. Only complaint was that the bunkers were in poor shape. Highly recommend playing here.

Course was in great shape. Greens were very slow but consistent. Would definitely play again!
