Golf Now needs to provide more information about course conditions
Golf Now needs to advise that courses were just over seeded and running 5 on the Stimpmeter. This course is a great value but we simply would not have played it today if we had known. This review is really about Golf Now and not Longbow.
2 days before overseed
Most of course was brown due to overseed starting on Monday. With course in this shape it was disappointing that rates had recently gone up. In general pace was good, just disappointing conditions for the price.
Ready for reseed
The layout is fun. The greens were in good shape
With a full week to go until reseed closure I was surprised all fairways were cut down and browned out for reseed. And the equipment was running throigh fairways some without much respect for golfers trying to play around them. Dust and dry grass was blown right at us.
Sand in traps was hard.
Unfortunately they were thatching the course today as most of the fairways are dried up in preparation for seeding.
Dirt Coarse
This is a great course when it’s maintained, but the only thing in a moderate condition were the greens. The tee boxes were hard, the fairways were completely dried out and brown, and the bunkers had no sand. I get that they’re preparing to plant the winter grass but then they shouldn’t have been charging $70 to let people play on dirt when that’s the same price they were charging for the maintained course.
Course Dried Out
This looks like it could be a very nice course during another time of the year, but today the fairways were all brown and hard. The greens were mostly green but incredibly hard and fast. Disappointed to pay this much when conditions were so mediocre. Would like to play this course again when the fairways were green and the greens would hold a high approach shot.
Longbow
Definitely a fun little track, bunkers had no sand and fairways are dead but still very enjoyable. Looking forward to come back after re-seeding.

Longbow was a great challenging course , greens were in great condition and I would definitely play there again
Nice course
I haven't played Longbow since the 90's. The course is challenging, but fair and was in good condition. The bunkers need raking, as they were like concrete, but everything else was in good shape.
Very Enjoyable round
Course was in great shape especially considering the hot temperature's .my wife and I enjoyed the course it's a fun layout with challenge's very friendly staff.
