Golden Hills Golf Club
About
Golden Hills Golf Club (formerly known as Arizona Golf Resort) is home to a golf school and a challenging 18-hole course. The golf course is known for its difficult and scenic par-3 holes. It is has a traditional layout that features large, subtly sloped greens that are guarded by bunkers. Stately cottonwood and eucalyptus trees line the generous fairways. Lakes form water hazards that come into play on five holes and there is also native rough throughout the course. With four sets of tee boxes, the course offers a suitable challenge for players of all skill levels. In addition to the course and the school, the Golden Hills Golf Club has a putting green and chipping area as well.

OMG
This year I am finally going to listen to my gut and swear to never play this course again. The owners/managers of this course obviously don’t have the resources and talent to maintain a course that can provide a satisfying round of golf. Year over year the condition of this course has deteriorated.
Very disappointed and feeling cheated
DOG TRACK!!
If you can't find anywhere else to play and you want to play on dirt than this is the course for you. Played it a long time ago and it was terrible then. The name has changed but still a terrible course in terrible condition.
UV
needed more watering, a few to many bare spots on the course
Deteriorated
This used to be a very nice course, they get cheaper every year on the overseeding, obviously they have irrigation and drainage problems
Greens were in decent shape. Rest of course was not. Muddy wet areas on most fairways as well as bare hard pan places as well. In between seasons so maybe that was part of it but price should reflect condition of course.
Lots of bare ground (no grass). Standing water in fairways. Probably will not be back.
Golden Bogs
One might be able to get a glance of hills far to the east on occasion, but none on the course. What they did have were many wet areas in fairways and around greens. Winter grass was inconsistent. It is not a course that drains well. Greens were cut and fast and bunkers were rakes and had sand. Tee boxes were a mixed bag with leveling needed. Not a bad course but just too wet for a sunny mid day round.
Golden Hills
Unfortunately there were a lot of wet areas from overwatering. They really need to get a good maintenance supervisor that cares. There are still lots of dead trees on the property.
When you own/run a golf course ya gotta hire people that are smart enough to grow grass. Same crap as in the past. Way way too many bare dirt spots.
The Course is in good shape.
I have played this course on and off for 15 years. I think it’s in good shape except for number 12 It seems like there’s always water laying in the center of the fairway on this hole. Other than that, we had a good time finished in four hours and played with a nice couple. We booked another tee time for Friday with our two adult children. Good job Arizona Golf Resort.
